Cloning: A Newbie Sucess Story

After two years of growing auto-flowers, I began my first photo-period (White Widow) in late January. I also decided to try to make several clones. Not wanting to invest much time or money, I tried the 'ziplock bag' method. To my surprise, it worked! All four of the cuttings rooted within about 10 days. In hindsight, I selected cuttings that were more on the 'woody' side, which I suspect added a few days. The method was simple: 4 clippings, dipped in clonex, placed in a rapid-rooter plug soaked in a light nutrient solution (MaxiGrow ~200ppm), and then into a ziplock bag, which I spritzed with some water before closing. I then hung the bag at the top of my tent (photo below). I hung the bag at the top of the tent because it seemed like a warmer spot with just the right amount of indirect light.

This is the White Widow that I took clippings from (when it was in veg)

Transplanting to larger pots tonight. Roots looking good.
