im about to open a bottle of clonex gel from 2007. lol lets see how good this shit is...

first I apologize for not answering your question, because I have no answer, but If I may make a simple recommendation.
Just use ALOE!
It's SOOOOOO much easier and the plants visibly look better the whole time. Really, it sounds too good to be true, I know, but I swear on my life it works better than any cloning solution.
Not to mention after you use it, you can throw the spear in a spray bottle and use it for the clones too, just strain and you have a nice aloe-mist.
I'm telling ya, aloe is your best buddy ( I think aloe and mychorrizae are the best, simple, yet often overlooked, things to use )

I was planning to get off the clonex any way. I will be trying that as soon as I get an aloe plant It cant hurt to try. Thanks for that info hopefully people will see this and try it. ill be doing some google searching.

Implying you are familiar with horticulture or pharmacy for that matter, ..you will be familiar with willow tree tea, and the effects on human and plant health no!.....?
blind leading the blind is a notable position here ...consider honey for the best all rounder, and its further effects on plant health

Find a jung sapling.. strip off enough green bark for 2 teaspoons, chop like tea leaves and dry on low power setting in microwave, don't dry like you wanna smoke it, then allow to cool, add to a cup of hot water, allow to sit until the cup is very cold ....good to go, also good for head aches

oh I can't claim to have discovered it on my own, I humbly admit I learned that from this here site. If you peruse the organic section you'll learn some good stuff. I think someone should find the original thread and make it a sticky, THAT is how much I love aloe, hated clonex and weird scary chemicals... But aloe? I mean, hell, I remember my mom rubbing it on a big ole roadrash I got from my new bmx bike.... Christmas '82...

50 ml of clonex cost £3.50 this is enough to take hundreds of cuttings its always been so easy and cheap i have never considered an alternative
and kept in the fridge will work for a few years not tested it any older than 3 years
as long as its still thick and purple i still use it, i tend to buy a new bottle when i notice its 2 years old or more

I've used clonex for years, as well as olivia's at one point, and one other brand I can't remember. They all worked well as long as I kept the environment right for my clones. The last 3 batchs of clones I have only used raw aloe like grease monkey suggests. I payed about 3 dollars at the grocery store for an aloe plant. Each time I need to clone (about every 2-3 weeks) I just cut off part of an aloe "spine". I take my cutting and prep the end, then insert the cutting right into the spine and swirl it around then put it right into peat pellets. The first round of clones I forgot to water one day and lost a couple, but that was my fault not the aloe. The last 2 rounds have been perfect so far.

Get rid of Gels,powders liquids,heat mats, domes ,
For me, an aero cloner & plain Tap water works best & is also NO maintenance .
Start with healthy mom, clean area & tools,
take your cuts, plug in cloner with non PH'd tap,
stick cuts in, come back in 10 - 14 days, easy as it gets.

Thats what I really need to do. The rest of my setup is all hydro, so hydro cloning only makes sense. I've just been lazy since things have always worked for me anyways. Those are some nice looking root there Bob.
