Clones yellowing???

Maybe my eyes are fooling me, but those cuttings didn't appear to be standing upright.
Yah I messed them up:wall:...Live and Learn though...2 might pull through but I took a few more cuttings...as I'm not counting on them to make it.

That's what it's all about finding out for yourself!!! Seeing it happen with your own eyes, improve... and lesson learned!:bigjoint:

The trick to get cuttings to root fast is to just leave them alone... Take them from a strong healthy plant just after a good nute dose. The yellowing is just the plant making roots... Do not cut them off,let them die off.

Btw, do you prefer to clone in perlite? Just wondering. I use jiffy cubes and get mad roots in 5-8 days

No...First 2 prior took off in the perlite but they were tougher stem and they survived, just thought it would be better than Mg soil. I'm using the expanding peat pellets now and loving it! The new ones look so much healthier! 4Days now will see how they work...

Good stuff! I find pellets/cubes work wonders for clones. Just make sure they stay just slightly moist. Not wet.
Goodluck

When I start my clones there put into rock wool cubes to root which usually takes 10 days, but anyways i give them olivias cloning solution to keep them wet and healthy also i put them in a humidity dome to keep them warm and moist. Also i make sure i mist them with a weak bloom solution since they need Phosphorus to root and i do that about 2-3 times a day w/ a misting of regular in between to wash the extra nutes off the leaves for about the first 10-12 days. So far since ive switched from my aeroponic cloner to rockwool & olivias ive had a 98% success rate, right now I think its like 42 out of 45 that have rooted and done great. Olivias cloning solution & Rootech gel work wonders.

Looks Like you could be "loving them to death". Are they rooted? I've found that overly happy clones are really not that happy. When I move my cuttings into the flower trays(SOG no veg.)they always look a little yellow and tattered(you would to if I cut your legs off dipped you in a grow new legs acid solution and let nature run it's course....). But I'll be damned if by the end of the second week they are not looking just amazing.
I've had 100% success with the Al B. Fuct "batch of clones in rockwool" method so far. However, I'm still learning and continually think I'm going to lose a few every batch due to yellowing and wilting but i've noticed that the sadest looking ones break roots first and the stronger ones just take there sweet time.

I rarely if ever mist them and do not own a humidity dome.

LMAO!!!! thats hilarious....havent got to the end of the posts yet, but i had to laugh at this.......ok, i gotta read the rest before i go check on my girls. had some yellowing issues this time around too......me thinks i took the dome off too early, and i should have kept it warmer when it was cold, and colder when it was warmer.....faaaack!

i would try ditching the perlite and just using a bubble cloner or just some soil packed tight. they may be yellowing because your stem sucked up too much air and is now cloged. way too young for nutes. try cutting a few more inches off the stem get some clonex, dip the end in clonex and stick it in dirt or a peat moss clump

i would second the mentioning the 'worst ones show root first'. my current sexy mother plant had some babies, i topped one after fifth node....wasnt the best looking one but it was healthy. ....wouldnt it just be the one to pop roots through the peat pellet first? faaaaaaac.... thanks for the advice and tips guys. best of luck lime, keep up the awesome work man.

When I see all my cuttings lower leaves yellow from the tips in. I know roots are there and pushing. So you are correct.
Jiffys and rootech gel 5 -6 days Hashberry and a crazy bagseed I had to keep

Right when I see a couple roots poke.. I then plant them in straight ocean forest pre soaked so the roots do not dry out.
Then in 3 days the cutting is already back in veg and growing like crazy!(right pic)
