my problem is yellow leafs ok well is my first time cloning and my clones * 4 days old * I use cloning powder NoT GEL * the plants I cut them from was 2 month old * i maintain them in a DOME with 4 cfl light cycle 20/4 * i mist them with water 2 times a day and keep them in temperature 75f-80f i water them with distill water and i keep them wet but not dripping wet just moist. now i have realize that i have like 3 plants that is turning yellow leaves . yellow light is usually wen the plant is feeding on its own energy i might be wrong am a newbi so i have just been giving them plane distilled water am i supposto give them some grow big fox farm or please anyone wat am i doing wrong?Snapshot_20130503.JPGSnapshot_20130503_1.JPGSnapshot_20130503_2.JPGSnapshot_20130503_3.JPGSnapshot_20130503_9.JPGSnapshot_20130503_10.JPG

To me the whole setup don't look right.
I use just a tray with a 1/2" of perlite on the bottom
and I would place something small that will hold water
on the bottom as well, then I place an airstone with a
small fish pump ( pump stays on the outside of the tray) in the tray with water to create humidity
at all times.
Open the opening some on the top for airflow.
The perlite also picks up moisture from the humidity and you could spray
the perlite once a day also if the perlite dose not contain enough moisture and
don't forget the heat pad on low setting underneath the tray.
That's how I do clones and I usually
get a 100% success rate at 9-10 days in the dome. The last clones I did was 100% success with de-chlorinated tap water.
I let the water sit out for a day or more with an airstone and use that for clones.
This is a very easy set up.

Other then that if you keep your current
set up, I would just mist them once maybe
twice a day and not keep them moist at all
times. If the plant has water all the time there is no
reason for the clones to root cause the plant already
has all the water it needs I believe and has worked
for me.
Keeping the inside of the dome misted at all times throughout
each day with the heat pad and the water tray and airstone is another option that
works. May work without the airstone and heatpad I don't know for sure though I never tried it. Make sure the top of the dome is cracked open for
some airflow but not too much to hinder the humidity inside
the dome.

yellowing leaves are a sign of rooting
i think that you are using too much light 4 20W cfl are a bit too much for clones
first 5 days 1 20W cfl for up to 60 clones
next 5 days 2-3 20W cfl
next 5 days 4 20W cfl
after this you should be fine for any light

thank YOU BRO FOR THE INFO I WILL DROP DOWN TO 2 CFL THANKS

Try a light foliar feed. It keeps them healthy and gives the a little food to survive while making roots.

Bro you cant use cuttings from a mum with issues. Wait 14 days see what happens and don't feed.

You are promoting leaf growth instead of root growth. Since there are no nutrients available, the plant shows deficiencies.

Actually, I just made that up. I have no idea if that is what is really happening.

But I would definitely add some cal-mag. Whatever that does. Seems to be good, everyone is always saying "put some cal-mag in there". So I would start with that.

Oh, and Epson Salt. I think that is another word for printer toner. Spray it on your plants and they will give you a "leaf job" when they start showing sexual tendencies.

Sorry. Dont do any of those things. Get a bubble cloner. It sounds like so much work the way you do it now. With the domes, and the mist and the powders and gels and the distilled water.

DIY bubble cloners are beyond easy to make, low maintenance and highly effective.

For next time.

ok so I made a cow mature tea and I dip the cubes in it they were all yellow and dry leaves 2 days after I dip them in the tea 8 out of 12 rooted and the roots are huge and white thank god everyone thank you for ya help
