Hello lads, I'm from the UK and this is my first post/thread.
I have had a disastrous start with my transition from coco to RDWC.
First attempt root rot in all 10 plants at 6 weeks old from seed, binned and started again. Second attempt root rot in all 10 plants at 6 weeks old from seed.
Luckily I know where I went wrong. This RDWC is a big learning curve
In the last few days changed from a sterile unit to using Hydroguard and it seems to have helped, but they are only about 8" tall and the roots aren't great even with the new white root growth after the Hydroguard. I have decided once again going to bin them tomorrow.
These were all grown from expensive seeds so I was wondering if I could get a head start and save some money by taking some cuts.
My question is has anyone ever taken cuts from root rot plants and did it pass on to the clones. Basically is root rot systemic?
I am just worried the bacteria will spread from the roots up into the stem and into the plant itself
Many thanks
