Hello,

Ok so im taking a clone from fimming one of my other plants and im curious about taking a clone from a plant about 4 weeks into flower. Every tip has a bud growing so i was unsure if that wouldnt be a good candidate for a clone anymore?

I plan on vegging for a week or so and then throwing it right back into flower, will that be a probalem at all?

I am interested in knowing the answer to that my self, i have seen a lot of people saying no only during veggie stage. I will check in on this to see why you shouldn't.

the only thing that will happen when you revert it back to veg is each white hair will grow into a single blade but after a while it will be fine I do it all the time

clones from flowering plants are slow to root and slow to grow. New growth will be deformed (weird leaves). Best procedure is to take another clone from the new growth and use this 2nd clone as a mother or flower it and discard the original as it won't ever be very good itself from the stress.

very very very untrue

one i've had clones from a flowering plant grow roots in 4 days

second all you have to do is grow the plant out sure the first set will be deformed as I said but the second and third sets and from there on out no problem

third I have mothers from flowered clones that are perfect still half lots of vigour after growing for years

I dont know what yo've been smokein but you need to put it down and get some fresh air and do some reading.

LOL i took a cutting from a fully matured flower that had been seeded, and guess what?

Took a little longer to root than normal and had some weird single leaf growth in the beginning. But now shes doing great and full of new growth, My clone army is almost prepared :-)

You have to be pretty decent with cloning for one, but I can vouch that it has worked for me too. From my experience the clone growth is much slower (from having to go back to 18/6).

I have had a major case of spider mites, so I have had to ditch about 30 clones of mine plus the moms.. Stumbling across this thread reminded me of doing this with the 17 strains I have flowering now, to get back my genetics. Thanks everyone :)

Well, the advice I gave is the same as given by the pros in columms like Ask Ed or Jorges Rx. It's sound advice. In fact it's exactly the same as I've read. it acurate. Who needs to do some reading? not me mate. All I do in my spare time is read and learn about marijuana horticulture.:wall:

Ok, a link to a thread by fdd?

Well I've got about 8 clones growing right now from a plant taken about three'four weeks in flower. Took them a month to start to grow much at all. Maybe they started rootimng in 4 days? Kinda hard for me to tell through the dirt. Whatever. I give good sound advice (strait out of a book) and then somebody comes along and tells me to read more. Funny shit. Have a nice day.
