Clones flowering under 14/10?

I'm going to start this off admitting that I have never had good results with cloning, but I think most of that has been due to me being impatient with the process, and checking on root development too often. That said, I have had some "outdoor" plants in my smaller veg tent on a 14/10 cycle to prepare them to go outside. Before moving them outdoors I decided to take 4 cuttings from the AK-47 plant to take another shot at cloning. I'm trying to root them by using a cool mist humidifier, and they seem to be doing well, so far, but I noticed that the clones have started to flower. Could this be caused by interrupting the night cycle a few times to fill the humidifier back up? I never thought that turning on the light at night would be an issue, but it just dawned on me that it could screw up the internal clock of the plant. Should I just switch the light on to 24/0 to force them back into veg quicker?

if you take any photo plant off of 20 hours of constant light and only give it 14 for a couple of days, it will think that fall is coming snd it needs to flower. And your clone is already sexually mature and the same age as mom. So, if you intend to finish them outside, its still before summer solstice, so just put them out there, they will bud for a week or so then start to reveg and get back on normal schedule for the fall. The clone will do much better than a seed grown plant with the shock-reveg-normal schedule cycle in my experience. Nature almost always “fixes” our mistakes dont worry and good luck!

Of course get them rooted indoor first and growing good, give them like 16 hours of light for another 2 weeks then put outdoor to lessen the shock.

That's the thing, though...the tent has been on a 14/10 light schedule for close to a month and the clones never left the tent. I'm not planning on putting the clones outside. Before moving the plant outside, I figured I would grow 4 more inside, so I took the cuttings before moving the plant outside.

Id put clones on at least 18 hrs of light.
My clones and seedings get 24/0. Under t5

12/12 isnt a rule its just a guide, yiu can flower at 14/10. At 16/8 i never see flower.

I bumped them back up to 18/6 this morning. They are 24" below a QB65 so nothing too intense.
Charlie, I'd bump that up to 20/4. It'll help with reveg. and they'll still get a little four hour rest to metabolize energy (rootzone)
I've found some varieties do respond better than others.

(not a fan 24/0 even though it works for lots of growers)

Yeah I’ll bump it up to 20/4 tomorrow. I meNt yo go check on the plAnt the clones came from today, but got side tracked, and then it got dark out. I’m going to check it tomorrow to see if it’s flowering too. I’m curious if maybe the plant was possibly already starting to flower before I cloned it. I definitely saw preflowers on it, but I didn’t notice any bud development.

That's def. a possibility. I've had clones react similar. There was probably just enough hormones built up and then when put under a low lighting to root they're triggered into flowering.
Its nice healthy. It'll prob revert back soon.

Yup, I checked on the plant that is outside this morning and it looks like it started flowering too. The ILGM Purple Haze I have growing beside it has some preflowers but no actual buds forming yet. I think the AK47 was just more sensitive.

@TreeFarmerCharlie Have you done many runs of ILGM gear? I assume your ak is from them? A friend gifted me some of their ak beans but I've been pretty hesitant on trying them when I have other gear on hand and a few cuts of real fire.

I’ve grown a bunch of their stuff so far and I’ve been really happy with it. I’m not a “weed connoisseur” so I have no idea how their AK47 compares to others, but the last batch I grew came out great. The Purple Haze from them that I grew has been my favorite. I’m sure it’s nothing like the original, other than being bred from the same cross, but it’s so full of flavor and aroma. It smells like potent turpentine and berries and hits nice.

12/12 is more shocking or force flowering, outdoors flowering probably starts before ot gets to 12/12 but it has longer to sense the change.

I do 16/8 all the time, no flower. My friend attempted 14/10 ...boom (I warned him), flowers!

probably, as soon as it senses less than 16 hours. It knows it's time to make the change to flower. Ive only had hermies once and it was due to overfertilizing, not light.

Different strains have different time based triggers. The reason why we flip to 12/12 in flower is mainly because pretty much every one will flower from 12 hours of uninterrupted darkness.
