Hey everyone I am in a bit of a dilemma.
Long story short have the old time ez-cloner 30 site. In a hot climate Water in rez would be 80+ had it on a 15on 15off timer then tried 1on 5 off then tried 24hr they all sucked and didnt help in cloneing. I cant do root roit i not able to get to my garden everyday to spray and make sure humidity is good. I need a sit and forget type of cloner. And i am going for mass clone production. My opinion so far i been looking into is :

1. DIY w/ http://www.amazon.com/Coleman-25-Quart-Party-Stacker-Cooler/dp/B0030BGA0U/ref=sr_1_1?s=sporting-goods&ie=UTF8&qid=1412013718&sr=1-1&keywords=coleman+24+can+cooler
2. http://www.health-builders-network.com/?page_id=7
3. Newer ez-cloner, or power cloner, or w/e

Point i am making i need a set and forget cloner then is reliable and since i do live in a hot area that will keep water temp atleast somewhat cold 75-80 not 80+..
additionally information I do own a
http://www.drsfostersmith.com/product/prod_display.cfm?pcatid=14256
Ap 100 was for dwc but i dont dwc no more so can use it for cloning. Also i dont really like ez-cloner because of height. i would like to use this : http://www.homedepot.com/p/HDX-6-Tier-47-7-in-x-77-in-x-18-in-Wire-Industrial-Use-Shelving-Unit-EH-WSHDI-001/204603381?cm_mmc=SEM|G|BT3|PLA&gclid=CjwKEAjwhqShBRDS95LciqqaonISJADj1rgaL_0XkS5uRDS9vBzaCt0uNI92iMYBeY0zAvuPLxjErxoCBU7w_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds

And be able to do my clone production, not all 6 but at least 4 rows.

Please inform me in what is the best option for me. If im just a idiot please tell me i need to know what i am doing wrong.

I just clone in rockwool 2" cubes, the key is to have firm blocks that haven't been squished.
All I do is get the cube soaked with water, pop a clone in rooting powder (I like the powder because it sticks better) and then push it into the bottom side of the cube going halfway into the cube. Don't use the hole they cut unless you have really fat stems!! Using the bottom ensures a tight grip on the small to medium sized ones. Cut a nice angle on the clone so it pierces the rockwool You should be able to tug lightly at the stem and it should feel secure (if you do this and water them they will root, the rest makes them root faster)...
I toss em under a humidity dome with vents, a heat mat keeps the dome at 85F as it sits under some 1 foot T12 Flourescents.
I have done it without rooting hormone and saw roots through in 7 days, with the powder as fast as 4 days to see roots. I don't transplant for 2 weeks though, I like to get a bunch of roots coming through because I go straight into flowering with mine.

EZ cloner hands down. I run mine 24/7 and water temp is never an issue.
My water temps are to high even with timer room temps around 78-80

I just clone in rockwool.
Way to hard for me i tried and was a epic fail plant did not root but did stay alive for 1 whole month. Don't ask me how not a single root.

What about the cooler do u guys think is a good idea ? maybe that will help my water temps and i can do aero or either dwc in that ?
Or maybe because clones was with my mother why they didnt root and didnt have enough adequate light on them.

Clean all your equipment with bleach, rinse well with water. Fill reservoir with clean water, add 1/2 to full dosage of Clear Rez and your clonex solution or whatever you're using. Never re-use neoprene collars or similar, throw them out and buy new ones every batch. Make sure you clean every piece extremely well, left over shit from previous batches will severely reduce your chances of making fast healthy roots and will cause your new clones to yellow, brown, and die before they root.

Your mother plant needs to be healthy as well, or don't expect roots in a timely manner. 80F reservoir water isn't as bad as everyone on here makes it out to be; mine is always 79-81 and I always get beast root systems within 11-14 days.

Upon snipping the clone, immediately dip into either gel or a water vitamin B solution or you chance an embolism in the root, or an air bubble that will mess up the clones water intake. You can verify that your clones do not have an embolism by lifting the lid from your cloner and looking at the tip of the root, there should be a droplet of water right at the tip of the root, if not chances are it has an embolism; not wonder why it's not rooting.

Here's a TK 96 after 11 days, with 1/2 Clear Rez, 3/4 dosage Clonex solution, and dipped with Clonex gel. Res temps 79-81, room temperature 75-79, humidity 65-79%. They have a single Kessil H350 Magenta light hanging 5ft. above the canopy..

Hope this helps, cya.

I use turbo Cloner. 144 sites and put 3 cuttings per puck. Clear Rez and clonex solution in Cloner. Olivia's gel is the best. Tried all 17 on the market in same Cloner on cuttings from same plant. I'm OCD, and when I say it's best, it is. The roots are in 7 days in the picture. Not all start at the same rate. If your mother ever goes dry, don't take cuttings for 7 days. Use MH light. No T5 crap. I grow my Cloners under 1000 watt mh about 6 to 7 feet away. No dome ever. Use extra space for cones in soil and teens. 17/7 light cycle. Never 24 hour light. Roots do most growing at night and then they leave the lights on.... Lmao.

Add hydrogen peroxide to offset the higher temps. The higher temps deplete the oxygen in the water. As pointed out earlier to put cuttings in water immediately and after making final cut after scraping, put in gel immediately.

Great roots. I reuse pucks till roots have grown through them. That's when they start killing plants. The dead root left in them.

Behold a grand site ...all 144 of them ....lol indeed you will require no hood, why should you ...you are already in water the plants can adsorb it, and yes never take clones on a dry mother..as the (N) will be almost toxic, also take clones lower down the laterals for the same reason, less (N) and more hormones, tho you can make your own clonex, should you wish ...its just willow tree bark tea, 3 teaspoons of fresh willow tree bark to a coffee cup and hot water stir and sit till cold ..use green bark tho ..or household honey, which is high in antiseptics and ideal for 'dirty' situations, tho when I clone I use nil additives as I believe they just encourage bacterium rot ..lol ..and with a max of 20 days any befict of additives is losr...its too short a time, and yes I agree roots do grow at night tho I prefer 18/6 just out of habit ...lol
don't forget guys ...its just cambium engineering... tickling that layer of skin to grow roots ..no big deal ...lol

Sup man... I went through the exact same procedure... I tried simple cloning first because that was supposed to be easy enough... very little success so I bought a cheap ez-cloner... and I had worse luck with that. I THINK what happened is the cheap ebay cloner I bought was equipped with too powerful or coarse a sprayer and it was beating the crap out of the stems underneath. Either that or I missed some other aspect. All I know is the stems all died on the underside and seemed like they were getting far TOO wet. (Another possibility is that I was taking clones too small for an ezcloner...)

So I chatted with a buddy who is much better at soil cloning. I thought I was doing it right but I realized after talking to him that I wasn't really staying tight on their needs. Since integrating his advice with what I was already doing, I have gone from a very low success rate (20%?) to around 85-90% with my clone-friendly strains. Here's a really simple check list to doing traditional cloning under a seedling dome:

1. Keep a hygrometer/thermometer inside, check it several times a day. (I have a remote one so I just have to glance at a wall.)

2. Try to keep humidity as high as possible. Like 75% at the lowest, and keep bumping it up so it stays closer to 85-90. Be religious about maintaining humidity and it will pay off.

3. Get a seedling mat. This was the big one for me. I thought I was being diligent about spraying but the fact was it was taking SO long to grow roots so I was doing WAY MORE WORK than I needed to, keeping them misted for weeks when I could have had roots in about a week if I just bought the seedling mat. You're aiming for 80 degrees for ideal root growth. You don't have to waste money on the temp control if you plug it into a timer and do like 15 on 30 off all day.

4. (bonus) I started using Rapid Rooters and find they are extremely effective for both clones and seeds. You do NOT need these, but they are really nice. I was using peat pucks before but they fall apart like crazy and the RR's have a weak fertilizer soaked in which seems to help growth compared to the peats.

5. (bonus 2) - I mentioned clone-friendly strains above... it is worth looking into your strain's history online and make sure you are not trying to clone a particularly stubborn-rooting strain when you're first learning to do it.

I would go with the RR but at times I am not able to get to my garden everyday which sucks i think i going to do the DIY bubbler and hopefully i have good success

Fair enough, if you can't keep on the clones to spray 'em I imagine it'd be more challenging.
Good luck!
