cloneing question

So I got my clones in a dome and I have some nutrient water with a air stone. My question is do I have to keep that water ph right 5.5-6.1 same as mother or.. it don't matter?

no mater clone or mother plant. anytime growing hydroponically the water needs to be as close to 5.8 pH for optimum results. Plants die in water to acidic and to much alkalinity can cause Nutrient Lockout

well wait let me think.... when cloning you're feeding a plant water through its leaves since it has no roots yet to uptake water or nutrients. make sure your spray bottle water is about 5.8 as well as your water/nutrient solution. what rooting hormone are you using? powder or gel? any rooting stimulant in your res?

clorex rooting gel.. in the dome I have a pint of water win a open contaner with a lil bit of nutts and a pinch of root jel. I been trying to keep that water the by 5.8 it spiks all the time up to 6.5 highest.

Well I haven't sparyed the leaves I heard it slows down the process. I heard just keep it 90 percent humide and that alone will keep it moist.

pH adjustment can get pricey if you dont get it down... after a while you will know your systems pH adjustment schedule down. for instance i know with my system that my pH spikes from 5.8 to 6.2/6.3 in the early morning and around 6pm so those are my adjustment times. i also know that to adjust the water in the size resivior i have it takes me about 1 teaspoon to bring it back down to 5.8 from 6.2/6.3

it varies from strain to strain... but for the most part you are right as long as a bowl of water is kept inside the cloning lid to provide constant moisture but wether they take in water from moisture or water from a spray bottle... both ways you're supplying the plant with what it needs to root and grow

dont bother putting nutrients into the water until they start to root.even with high humidity u should still spray your plants just do it once maybe twice a day with a light feed in the solution
