If you continuously clone a clone instead of keeping a mother plant does it lose it's potency?

think of it this way, if it did, would clone only strains be so popular? uk cheese has been going since something like 88 or so..

I think that you will get several different opinions on this.

Some of the opinion givers will get mad if you don't believe them immediately..

Others with be civil and wish you well.

Don't believe ant of them.

I've been doing that with an OG #18 for over 2 years, and it's just as potent and pretty as my bean was not to mention I got 30 clones off 1 mother, for 1 big run

Been running clone after clone of afwreck for three years.
the better i get the better it gets.

The only time I have noticed a change in how a strain grew after extended cloning was after severe stress. I've had several strains which I've cloned continually for multiple years, and only one changed more then a small amount.

I may have worded this thread wrong. What I meant to say is can I clone my clones. And get rid of the mother plant altogether. Every time I top a clone I will clone that top. Will this lose its potency

No you will not lose potency. Many people do exactly what you are asking about and it works well.

My clones are broken I think
I've had a mom that hermed give clones that wouldn't. And give clones that all were different, just slightly though.

I actually clone a clone of a clone and the clone turn into a new clone that I clone to make a mother that I will use to keep clones which will retain its potency.

i find they tend to get weaker my clones of clones of clones have very hollow stems

but still get u stoned as day 1 and still look the same just flimsy hollow stems

I like the part where the clones mothers brothers sister had to use her fathers girlfriends cousins half step sisters clone to finish them off

there is a spot in Seattle that will grow out seeds and call them clones, its infuriating how dense some people can be. "exclusive cut of GDP? no problem heres the seed..." lol

You know you can just self a clone and get a pretty accurate representation in seed form.. I would take a real fem GDP
Just saying. Probly not what's going on

exactly don't listen to any ov them , listen to me instead, no it wont lose its potency it will be exactly the same as the last , that's why its called a clone, your thinking of that film with Steve gutenburg? Duplicity,,,,,,,

i do it when i top any plant , use it as a cutting/clone
