clone sticky/guide help!!! +rep

Im not really asking for any input other than a good thread or sticky, with good info and how to's guide on cloning. I've done searching around RIU but cant find a good one. Any help would be great. Like I said Im not asking anyone to do my research but if you have a link please post, if you have any pointers or good info please post. Thanks for anything in advance you guys here really make things happen!!! Happy smoking session time for this guybongsmilie then some more reading
 
Thanks for the link and rep'd as promised. I run everything in DWC/Drip systems will the rapid rooters adapt to a hydro system or do you have another link for cloning for hydro!!! Thanks for the link this will at least get me started I think if i substitute the rapid rooter for rockwool and prep it like I would for a seed soaking in ph'd water with some rooting nutes I think that would work what do you think.

rockwool will work the same, make sure you leave a little water on the bottom of the dish so they dont dry out
 
Thanks I decided to do a little of both. Going to keep my hydro plus I am currently running some all organic nute and FFOF in 5 gall buckets which I am reall happy with. I think I will use the RW clones to keep as my rotation of mother plants and use the rapid rooters for an attempt at a 1 gal FFOF SOG. With the room I have setup I can really pack it full with some 1 gal square contianers. This way it will show me the potential of the buds/plants plus a smoke report and if I like the results I will still have mothers to clone from and put them in the room running my original hydro setup with SCROG and really collect the weight. Sounds like a plan to me :fire: Happy growing everyone and again thanks for the links and info!!
 
I am thinking about doing a video of this method. I cut 16 Ceres white indica 7 days ago today, and this morning 9 of them are showing roots.
I go with a cheap plastic dome from the hydro/garden store and the dirt pucks that expand in water(jiffy pucks). Cut on 45 degree, scrape and score stem, dip in rooting gel and insert into puck. Squeeze of extra water from the top down ensuring that the dirt squeezes firmly arround the clones stem and dome it. I keep mine coverd with a white towel that allows ambient light for the first 3 days(i read that this allows the plant to focus on root developement and less on photosynthesis for the first few days) then remove it. On day 5, I move the dome top a couple of inches away from my fluorescents. As long as your room temp is right (mid 70's to mid 80's) and the moisture level of the puck is kept damp dry....NEVER dripping wet, then you should have fast results with good sucess. I cut 20 clones at a time, every 4-6 weeks, and in over a year have had only 1 single failure using this method.​

Dvs ill take a look at it as soon as i can at the hospital right now with the wife. Missnu do you have any walkthroughs of how to build your cloner,material's, and pictures!!! Also i read through subs how to thread and he says he wets his rapid rooters, my question is do you soak these like you would rockwool or is it differwnt and what would you ph the water to? Thanks again guys/gals
 
dont soak like rockwool, I put the clone in the "dry" rapid rooters(they are not dry out of bag). then get a pipette and wet the rapid rooter. This is the only water I put in there, I do like to leave a tiny bit on the bottom of pan.
 
Budwich do you fill the pipette full of water and what size do you use, of many mL. I have got some clones going in RW right now took 6, one off each girl and so far 2 of them I pulled do to the fact that the never stood up straight after 24hrs. I soaked them in ph'd water for 24 hours, used rooting gel, and sterilized everything. Also using a heating mat and a small light on 24hrs. I have some organic microblast that I think Im going to try as a foiler spray or do you think this would be a bad idea. I see on most threads that people just mist the leaves. Thanks guys

O and the other 4 clones dropped and stood straight back up within 24 hours so Im hoping this is a good sign!!!!

youtube...i am all about the visual. and after a few tries it just gets easier and easier.

sorry didnt get back to ya sooner, lost this thread. I fill pipette with water, I think my pipette is like 3-4 ml. I just wet the rapid rooter and close lid. I get roots is 6-10 days depending on temps. OMMP grower has a nice video on cloning in Rockwool: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VzjAMBwKd8Y
I dont have any experience with RW. Hope this helps
 
One thing man, I have heard some bad things about heating mats causing algae/mold issues if you are not careful. Never tried them, really no need if you are at a reasonable temp. The misting is not always necessary, I never mist, just the first pipette of water and it keeps the container humid and moist. I guess do some experimenting. Its all about trial and error, what works best for you
 
I got a few different methods going right now bubbler, RW, Jiffy pellets, rapid rooters, heat mat, no heat mat. When I say I like to try everything I mean everything. So from here I will see what works best for me. From what I have seen so far is my delhaze sativa doesnt want to clone very well. If I dont lose this thread and remember " I have a crazy schedule over the next month" I will repost my results with every method. On a cool/funny note. I just now realized while taking clones that without being topped or fimmed my OG #18 is growing 3 shoots by itself!!!1:weed:
 
I have an OG18 2 weeks into flower that did the same thing. Looked like a mutant for the first 3 weeks then it grew out normal
 
Im not in flower yet still in veg and untopped, unfimmed, and untrained, it is growing three main tops. Maybe a few pics.
