I have just started using a clone machine. I have been told they were designed to be used more for a hydro set up because root structure is different. So for better sucess puting them in soil with small roots. Should i put them in soil when the roots are just starting? What about re-dipping in rooting gel b4 puting in soil?

aerocloners aren't for use with soil. root "structure" is not different. with an aerocloner it takes between 4 days and a week to start getting roots. wait till theres enough roots to sustain the plant. then plant. you can get roots by placing the cuttings in soil or sterile medium but it takes a lot longer. make sense?

Yes that makes sense. I was told the roots are a little different and that you shouldn't let them get too big before you put them in soil. I just wasn't sure how big is too big half inch or 4 inches? Obviously 4 inches would be extreme. I guess im just making too big of thing about it. Just leave in the cloner til there are enuf roots to support the plant.
