Clone generations

I tried to search for my question, but didn't see it anywhere.

Is it bad to take a clone of a clone of a clone of a clone (etc)

I mean does generation matter?

Are first generation clones "better" than 4th ?

I'm not that knowledgeable on this, but from what I know, I don't think it matters how many times you take a clone, the genetics will remain the same.

As long as you keep the plant healthy, it will keep on going. This is why some breeds can be "clone only" because they just keep taking clones of the same lineage of plants without mixing the genetics at all.

But, like I said, this is just my view from the little knowledge I've picked up.

As long as you take healthy cuts from a healthy plant you'll be fine. People have kept strains 20 plus years without keeping a mother.

no it is very true you can get herms and other problems such as slow rooting,as well as loss of f1 vigur if present , unstable plant structure IE leafs and branch issues, lower thc content, and a normal female can start to autoflower.
