Classic Hermie Pictures

Agreed - I'll probably pop a couple sometime, but just got a bunch of strains from Greenpoint that I'm pretty excited to grow first.. it'll be interesting to see if the Matilda strain doesn't hermie again, now that i know a lot more and won't stress them the same....
my theory is that if you grow it in its natural state, try not to top, fim or lolly it, let it grow naturally and see what i does, then from that point since we know the pheno has a hermie trait, then go to topping, etc etc......stress i think is a major key, these less you put on it, the less the trait will return....at least that's my theory at this point...

Yeah, they were pretty feisty hirls for sure- just started popping nanners like crazy, and i wasn't using calmag or enough p/k in the end.. i currently use foxfarms trio with calmag, and organic roots grow/bloom dry mixes as light top dressings...

you know i've never used any nutrition with my grows....i know it sounds funny...but i don't..think over the time i've been growing, i've learned for the most part about how to honestly make good soil that's worthy. I've done that to all my plants up till now.....

i am looking into a nute regime of sorts though....just haven't pulled the trigger i guess....

oh little update, since i chopped the top off....here is the rest of "it" ....got to admit "it's" not looking that bad.....

welp last sunday, was a nice dry and sunny day, so i brought the drying one from the closet and brought it out to do some inspection on how i'm doing and what "it" might look like. Frost on it is good, smell is a menty smell, but rub a sugar leaf and it almost smells fruity....WP_20180304_002[1].jpg

.did some trimming on it, and bounce it on the side of the bucket....you can see seed pods on it if you get close....i'm also noticing that the seed development on lower side of the cola are are less mature than they are on the upper part....could be my drying and also it could be showing me age difference in the areas that i've mentioned.....WP_20180304_003[1].jpg

little update on what "it" looks like now....WP_20180315_001[1].jpg

it's getting about that time to take the rest of it, starting to notice the coloring of the leaves changing. Gave it nice good watering the night before........

i'll show off the bud i picked off a little later tonight when i get home, it's been drying since i put that picture up of when i cut it and trimmed a little....this weekend should be insteresting as the experiment goes...

awesome!!! sunlight is the best gift from God:clap::clap:
it is, honestly....wish i started a couple of more this season,l or else i would have them in the same place as i have that one......the strange thing is, everytime i take a lunk off, the lower ones start to fill in more....

i took another nug off yesterday, and cleaned it up....it's drying now...i cut right above another nug site, that site now is filling in, with a new nug.....really just doing a rotational harvest at it were....

kinda cool...

leaves are starting to dis-color a bit, think it's time to take the rest of the big ones off, and let the smaller flowers do they're thing...

Hey @BudmanTX before you cut, can you post a close-up of just the main nug? Im curious to see how much frost
yeah i can do that, prolly won't be till this weekend though.......it the mean time i had the bright idea this morning of getting my loupe out thank you for the idea @ColoradoHighGrower, so i went into my drying area and took some pics........the first one is all of them together laying out....these were all cut at different times, the one i'm concentrating on is the main cola which is the largest one, it had a few more inches on it, but i noticed something i didn't like, so i went ahead a clipped it off before putting in the grow room....think i took about 4" off at last estimates or for what i could remember anyways....
WP_20180321_001[1].jpg
So i went ahead to took the big one and i got a closer picture of it, that's the next picture....with the lighting i have you can see the frostiness....nice good light fuz of trichs....the rest are the pollen sacks...and seed sacks from what i can tell...maybe some one would tell me wrong...time will tell.
WP_20180321_002[1].jpg

now the last picture, i went ahead and took my loupe at 30x and took a peak, and low and behold what i saw...ck it....great thing my loupe is lighted...so that way we can see better...

WP_20180321_003[1].jpg
my morning hands suck, especially without coffee, and it hard to hold the camera, loupe, and top together, so i did the best i could with what i have.....

any thoughts are always welcome, questions too....

Yeah it would be called a s1 “self pollinated” but taking the risk of hermie seeds but there is only one way to find out ,grow them out...Lol
If it was from a Regular grown Plant then i would defo give them a go ,But if this is from a Feminized seed grown plant i would not waste my time money on growing something that will most likely carry that trait over ,and may cause damage to the other plants you have flowering ,I would only risk something like this if the strain was really hard to get again ,No use risking it if you can get the beans of the strain easy.Macro Shots are best got with a timer set on the phone ,Don't go to close in and then just crop.Pretty good job though i'm the same Coffee and oil then im good to go

thanks for chiming in @tyke1973 , just to give ya heads up, the seed in question came from a bag O seeds i have, wiether they are fem or not, i have no idea, initiatly the pheno in question was a female it was orginal BB2 seed from this seasons grow. By unforseen sercumstances, basically a rodent and my cleaning of the damaged limbs, it turned "hermie" on me. I've been growing it out to finish my season and also to see what it was as of classifcation. Also wanted to do some other tests as well.......Soil, rotation harvesting, etc.....

got any questions and or thoughts let me know
