On behalf of the patients, sure. I agree. Do I know if its possible? Nope.. It will be interesting to hear what comes of it however.

I have read recently that the same midland based group who tried to recall Schuette in '12 was trying again. I forget what election year their goal was. This time around they were going to add a complaint of Schuette's fight with detroit public schools. Could get some more support for a recall.

Someone should sue the guy. I mean its fire with fire-he went all crazy-town using civil shit and public nuisance on people I think tying him up in court would be fitting. Re-vote, sue whatever makes his day suck as hard as possible. Maybe all the family members of the victims of all the unsolved homicides in the state should sue him for not giving their actual crimes the attention they deserved and the prosecutorial zeal he shows for legal marihuana patients in his state. its not as crazy as a public nuisance charge for a liscensed business from the state AG himself.

That would be awesome, thousands of individual civil suits filed against him. It doesn't matter whether you win its about wasting his time and resources.

Maybe all just pitch in and hire a thug...... He does not respect voters or out right to medicate? Why not see how he feels after getting the shit kicked out of himself a few times a week for a while?

There need to be MULTIPLE lawsuits against every City/County and the State that does ANYTHING to infringe upon the rights given us by obtaining a Med License.

All that is needed is a few good, legit lawyers with the BALLS to do it (And may I ask-- where the F*** Is NORML??? I never see them unless its for fundraisers for THEM!?)

We have the rights, as Licensed Med Card Holders, to have a class-action lawsuit for fraudulent sales of goods.

They Charge us to BUY a licence- then pass amendments eliminating dispensaries, Patient-to-patient-transfers, or selling overages in any way... SO-they have now intentionally limited the ability to obtain said meds.... so, either stop F***ing with the law, leave dispensaries and compassion clubs alone, and allow for safe, legal patient to patient transfers-- OR GIVE ALL THE MONEY BACK- including the doctor fee's!!

I don't think suing Schuette or recalling him should be a top priority for us in favor of looser marijuana laws. We need to organize our thoughts and resources to lobby and campaign for meaningful reform of marijuana laws. Personally I'm in favor of legalization. I saw a poll within the last 6 months saying 48 percent of Michiganders favor legalization with the trend over the last 10 years being for more people to begin favoring legalization. We should be pushing for legalization in 2016.

I think I read somehwere that NORML and the MPP aren't going to offer more than verbal support for any more ballot initiatives until 2014. The logic being that more voters turn out for presidential elections and anything on the ballot those years get more press and more voter awareness.
If any one of the dispensaries raided as a "public nuisance" is found to be operating in compliance with the court ruling, that dispensary model may have a chance at becoming the standard model, and that dispensary might have a chance an emotional distress, harassment, false imprisonment, whatever case that the rest of the community can get behind. The one I'm thinking of is this one...
http://www.mlive.com/news/grand-rapids/index.ssf/2013/03/grand_rapids_marijuana_dispens.html

which is basically a "safe meeting place" model like a police station for exchanging custody of the kids between parents who have restraining orders against each other. sort of a muddled analogy, but still. i like the idea of a non prosecutable dispensary model being approved. would be more solid foundation for dispensaries to sue from once established.
