circuit breaker?

hello, I got my CFL light and It says I need a circuit breaker..

I don't haev one of these, but I have a "power surge"... the problem is though, the power surge says "13A 250v" on the bottom of it... and the light says "use a 220v~240v power supply"...So, does this mean that the surge will not protect the lamp?

Also, I am going to be using a timer... so the light plugs into the timer, then that plugs into the surge..
The timer say "230-240v ~ 50Hz 13A" but also say "13(2)A 250V~" on the bottom on it...

I am very confused, Will this be safe to use?

you do not need a circuit breaker for a CFL light, someone has misled you
your CFL light is safe to use
plug it directly into your timerswitch, :)

Only thing is, i had the same light before and I had it in my timer... (directly into wall) and I flicke the switch on the timer which turns the timer on(so it abides by the times you set) or off (so it just goes on no matter one) and when I turned the timer off so the light wuld turn on, It blew the bulb and i heard it pop..

Any ideas on why this happend?

I am assuming you are in the u.k. since it says 50hz. You got no problems, use the surge strip and the timer.
