By the way, the clones are doing excellent. Roots are already coming out of the cups...I need to transplant them soon and let them veg while I find the perfect mother(s).

This is LC's soil mix:

6 parts Pro Mix BX or HP / Sunshine Mix (any flavor from #1 up) / Fox Farm Ocean Forest or Light Warrior
2 parts perlite
2 parts earthworm castings
Powdered (NOT PELLETED) dolomite lime @ 2 tablespoons per gallon or 1 cup per cubic foot of the soiless mix.
If you use a 3 qt. saucepan as “parts” in the amounts given above, it equals about 1 cu. ft. of soiless mix and you can just dump in a cup of powdered dolomite lime. The dolomite lime is for Ca. and Mg. not just to adjust the PH of the soil.

The above is used for seedlings...after a few weeks old, I transplant them into the 'cooked' soil, which is this:

1 tablespoon Blood meal per gallon or 1/2 cup per cubic foot of soil mix
2 tablespoons Bone meal per gallon or 1 cup per cubic foot of soil mix
1-tablespoon kelp meal per gallon or 1/2 cup per cubic foot of soil mix
or Maxicrop 1-0-4 powdered kelp extract as directed
(OPTIONAL) 1 tablespoon per gallon or 1/2 cup per cubic foot of Jersey Greensand or Azomite to supplement the K (potasium) in the Kelp Meal and seaweed extract.

Mix all the dry nutrients into the soiless mix well and wet it, but don't soak it. Use Liquid Karma and water @ 1 tbs./gal. Stir and mix it a few times a week for a week or two so the bacteria can get oxygen and break down the nutrients and make it available. And don't let the mix dry out, keep it moist and add water as needed. It'll also have time to get the humic acids in the Liquid Karma going and the dolomite lime will be better able to adjust the pH of a peat based mixture too.

With this recipe, all you need to do is add plain water until harvest.

When I'm working with seeds, I punch a hole in the bottom of 16 ounce cups and fill them with plain LC's Mix. Lightly wet the mix in the cups and germinate one seed in each cup. At the same time I mix enough LC's mix along with the blood/bone/kelp to fill all the 3 gallon flower pots I'm going to use for the grow. After about two weeks, the seedlings and the blood/bone/kelp mix are ready. I transplant the seedlings into the 3 gallon pots and just add water until harvest.
When you go to flower and pull up the males, save the mix in the pots. It is ready to be used again immediately. Just remove the root ball and transplant another seedling into it.
I mixed the above soil and let it 'cook' for a few weeks until my seedlings were ready to be transplanted. I do not need to check for pH...I simply use 1/4 well water, and 3/4 RO water with a little bit of Liquid Karma and Molasses each watering. You can just use plain old water until harvest if you want to...but I use liquid karma because it makes the roots grow fast. No tea's are used.

Day 30 flowering

Cleaned up the grow area today...took them out and took pictures...

C99 #1 - funky and fruity smell

C99 #2 - Very sweet smell...not so much fruity

C99 #5 - citrus-y fruity rotten smell...looks as this may be the greatest yielder in the bunch.

C99 #6 - fruity smell...not so much skunky...just fruity

C99 #7 - This one is the shortest/stoutest of the bunch...she has a fruity and menthol smell...

I don't smell any pineapple yet...maybe I need to wait for them to grow out a bit more...the smells are starting to kick in.

Day 35 Flowering:

C99 #1 is starting to smell like an open can of Dole Pineapple juice...not so sweet, but more of the pineapple 'acidic' smell...the hint is starting to come in...

C99 #5 evolved into a fruit punch smell...very sweet almost like a mixture of starbursts and cherries...I think this may be the keeper as it also looks like the biggest yielder. The smoke test will decide...

The girls look gorgeous man! My plants are exactly 1 day ahead of yours on flowering time, today is day 37 for them. My XXX Super Skunk is an early flowering strain and finishes in 7-8 weeks, so i only have 12-19 days left. How long is the flowering time for your C99? Anyways keep up the good work, I love all organic grows such as my own and it looks like we will both start the new year with some delicious buds!
