Are you absolutely certain those aren't swelled calyxes? I think somebody noted that certain strains exhibit fat single calyxes at the node region during flower. I've had some outdoor plants freak me out like that and then with the one you tossed outside last year not being hermie...

Is there any way for them balls to have hairs coming out? Today most of them do.
She has been sitting in the dark.
I noticed some ball like things on the stalk of one of my c99's. I tried to take a picture, too blurry to post but I think I see a hair too. The tips of the plant look normal, full of hairs and young buds. I will watch them closely.

That is what I suspect too. Whatever it is mine does not resemble a male ball. It does not dangle off of a thin neck, it has no neck and it has a hair. I don't have much experience with hermies though.

Yup she is a true hermie. Prolly will bud all the way through, but I would have some seeded weed, and I dont care to keep chopping off the pollen sacs during flower, I have started a new seed and moved on.. but heres some pics from today. On one side of the node, it could be a calyx, and the other side a pollen sac, she doesn't know what she wants to be when she grows up.. lol.

Ya the one i threw outside was doing the exact same thing here, she ended up with half a dozen seeds still, which is a hermie.

Yes I'm familiar with the calyxs that form at the node and stem, they are oversized, I had them on all my C99s, they are not rounded and egg shaped, calyx's are tear drop shaped. I bet if I let her grow she wouldn't of produced very seedy bud, but still seeded bud.

just to show what the single calyx's look like, here's a pretty cool example

that is dr. grinspoon taken from the page on the corner, if you're interesting in the genealogy

one of those infamous "landrace sativa" i guess
what is the definition of landrace anyways??
who knows maybe your pheno has some sort of unstable land race pheno and you got the undesired trait
I know i want a pheno like this too someday (when i have the space and time)
i hear they take extra long, and you have to dry a certain way because the buds are so airy and fluffy , they dry fast if not compressed a little at the right time (unless you have a real good dry room?)

just thought it would be cool to throw that in for discussion :)

You saw what you thought were male balls on an young plant, re-planted it outside and ended up with 6 seeds. I understand the need to be safe but if they were hermie balls you should have seen some ball clusters and would have had 100's of seeds. 6 seeds is a gift, most likely it developed a stress banana closer to the end of life.

I understand though, it doesn't pay to gamble.... Goodbye little plant.. sniff... sniff...

The only thing coming out of them balls are pistils, preflowers. Really stumped on this one. She might of been okay to grow..
I already have the light schedule all messed up, so Im just letting her do her thing in the dark, checking every morning.
Going to let her go until she dies from lack of water.

They are opening up like picture 3 in post #345. Like another set of nodes. I noticed earlier in veg instead of growing 1 set of nodes, she was having 3 or 4 at the same intersection.
Thought it was because all the nodes I was chopping off in veg, thought she was fighting me.

One of my plants is worrying me too. Mostly along the main stem on one plant I am seeing these single balls. They are very small right now so it is hard for me to tell what is going on. I believe when the plant was younger they showed two thick forked hairs, then they fell off. I will watch them closely. I seem to remember I was keeping an eye on some similar buds?? on my last grow of WW closer to harvest. I then spotted a seed on a lower bud, looked around and found an open banana on a lower popcorn. I plucked it and smeared it on a couple of lower popcorns and ended up with 8 seed. I saved them... not sure if I would use them though. ;-)

Yep, that is what I am seeing too, they all look to be around the same place at the forks.

I forgot my brother is also growing a seed from the outdoor Cindy, he sent me some pics and she seems to be doing fine. I smashed all my Cindy seeds :(, maybe I'll find another as I smoke through my stash.
Heres his plant,

I snapped an arm pretty good and didnt tie it up right like a month before i harvested, i know it did some harm and stressed it out.

Broke one arm huh.... Check out what I just did! My grow failed. I just scrogged the hell out of 'em. I would be shocked if they didn't hermi... I know I will get something out of this though.... but it will probably just be the experience...:bigjoint:
