Chronik's First Indoor Grow.

HEY GUYS!

Figured i'd start a grow journal like everyone else.

Lighting : 26w CFL Bulbs. 1750 Lumens, 2700k ( Only Temporary till i can order more of these bulbs and a full spectrum 6500k ones next week)

LightCycle: First week 24/0 Lighting, from 2nd week till harvest i will be doing 12/12.

Nutrients : I will be using Heavily diluted urine until flowering. ( Yes, urine is good for cannabis. It's filled with natural Nutes that Mary Jane loves!) (Only use 10:1 ratio, 10 parts water, 1 part urine if you plan on using it as a nutrient. )
I will be also purchasing some other good nutes later on before flowering, ( Gotta find whats good and increases bud production )

Soil : A mix of Organic Miracle grow and regular soil from the mountains. about 20% Miracle grow, 80% Mountain soil.
( Mountain soil was heated at 200 Degrees for an hour and 30 to kill any germs and bugs. then was sifted, roots, leaves, rocks, dead bugs, all picked up and then re-heated again for 30 minutes )

^ I Read about this tip on a different forum, if you are lacking money for good soil, i've read that taking regular soil from the ground or mountains and then heating it for up to 2 hours is a good way to get free clean soil, as long as its sifted through for bugs, leaves, roots etc etc.

Grow Box : I've gutted a Fender amp, lined the entire insides with mylar. I will be retro fitting 2 computer fans into the sides for better oxygen intake/expulsion, as well as to keep a gentle air flow on the stems to strengthen them up!

ONTO THE PICS!!! ( These pics are a few nights old, i've transplanted them into individual cups since then )
These babies are about 8 days old., on day 14 i will be switching to 12/12 light cycle.

The Amp i used has a back cover lined with mylar and aluminum foil.
This grow was more for a time killer than anything, something to occupy my days for fun.
I know this setup isnt the best, and i know its far from the worst, but this is a hobby, and meant to be fun :D

My expectations for these plants is that 3-4 will be female ( If I'm lucky )

Update 2 :

So far, these 7 Sprouts are about 3-4 inches tall. ( Some showed a bit of stretching, so i had to bury them down a bit deeper into the cups to prevent any adverse side effects from the stretching. )

They've been fed filtered tap water every 2-3 days, and tonight i added my first minute amount of diluted urine to add in some nitrogen for growth! ( Hoping i didnt over-water them )
The two side pods ( not the initial 2 leaves, but the rounder non-potleaf looking ones ) Have already shown signs of glimmer ;3 tiny little microscopic hairs shining like the sun!

Update 3

20131004_132826.jpg20131004_132845.jpg20131004_132904.jpg20131004_132913.jpg20131004_133015.jpg
Sadly, 2 of the 7 died ( Or at least were on the verge of dying )
So to save space, and time, i pulled the 2 weaker ones that werent doing so well.

And these 5 are what have become of my first indoor bag seed grow :D

They are about 3 1/2 weeks old from seed.

:3 they've been fed nothing but water, and plant nutes, with very good lighting.

I'm actually very suprised to see how well they are doing under CFLs.

2 of them have minor foliage burn, not sure if its from the soil getting to dry this week, or i fed to much nutes to it in the past. No clue.

:D thanks for stopping by, and checking it all out. Tips, Tricks, or Suggestions can be PMed to me :D

Also. Some of you may notice, they are all in the same pot.

My theory is that 3 of these are males, and 2 are females.

The one still in the cup, is my most precious. It seems to be a female, and has been growing like a champ since day 1.

Once they show signs of sex, i will pull the males, leaving the females in this pot.

Update 4

Started LST with my plants, someone suggested Since they're sharing a pot for now that i do this. :D So we'll see how it goes.
As you can see there is some new growth, and the stems are definitely thickening up nicely .
