Christmas Tree weed

AS we approach the season I am reminded of that great smelling weed from back in the 80s we called Christmas Tree because of the fine pine like smell. Rarely seeds. It was the best we could find in quantity. Allways came in the Fall in college for a short time. Does anyone know of a strain that resembles that era? I miss it.... This may turn into a xmas thread every year to find her....

I know this is an older topic, but I also have been trying to figure out what strain "Christmas bud" was. I remember it back in the mid late 90's in the Chicago area, and it only came around in the fall like october I think. It was exactly as you described, I remember it being very dense, perfectly pine tree shaped nugs, that had a very fresh pine scent, almost like you were in a dense pine forest. I remember the smoke being one of those that hits the lungs hard after inhale, a very pine tasting smoke almost with a feeling kind of like a breath mint gives you. I also remember the buds having very green leafy material and very dark vivid red hairs. It was definitely one of the unforgettable strains... I wish I knew what it was, or if anyone still has it around as seeds.

Anyone know of anything else with a very pine tree taste to it? Or what strain or genetics "christmas bud" are?

That's before my time but I've heard of it also from ppl from Chicago..i always picture Christmas tree shape nugs with vivid hues to look like a Christmas tree but if the smell is what your after look no further... That smell of breaking pine needles is represented awesomely in the delahaze i ran, single bean freebie BUT of five whiteberrys one also had the heavy piney minty smell, both are by paradise.. Similar parent maybe? Anyway i bet the delahaze is your best bet, also happened to make fewer chunkier nugs that id say can pass as pine tree shaped

Purple Pineberry definitely has a christmas tree kind of smell as well as being outdoor from BC - which would explain why it appeared in the fall. If it gets full sun its good smoke. Very uplifting. Not overwhelmingly strong, but I like the buzz a lot.
