Choosing Between ProSource 180 LED and the Spectra LED 180w

Hey all...

I am having a hard time choosing which light to go with. The two that I am stuck on are the ProSource Jumbo UFO 180w LED light and the growledhydro's Spectra LED 180w with 3 watt/3 chip LED's at a 90 degree viewing angle.

The ProSource light is about $200 more than the Spectra unit and both are 180w.

Have you grown with either light or both? What light is better in your opinion?

Nobody has .02 to put in on this? I have only seen one grow done with the ProSource 180watt LED and it seemed like it did pretty well. It was against a 126w penetrator LED i think. But the 3watt chips in the Spectra 180w seem very bright and powerful and is cheaper. Is this just something I have to do trial and error on? Such an expensive process if so...

I have just received my 180W from prosource. Can't say how its doing coz i literally got it today. But i'm hoping its gonna do me proud. After seeing irishboy's results i am confident it will be suited to my needs.

That may be the grow I saw but I never did see the end results of that one. Gonna try to locate that... Thanks.

Well I have a 350w and 90w from prosource, about a year on the ufo almost a year and a half on the 350w. No problems whatsoever. I am pleased to have gone with a more professional company with a warranty and whatnot. The leds have performed very well. No burned out leds or anything.

Cool, I have a ProSource 90watt 5 band ufo and it seems pretty good so far. Only complaint would be coverage area of light. But, it's a small light so what do I expect... I need 2 of them for my box really, but @$350 a pop...

The other company gives a 5 year warranty I believe and their 180w I can get for about $250 less than the ProSource Jumbo Ufo 180w..

It's great how fast these lights are getting improved. Mine are only tri-band, I think.. Blue, Red(two shades) and Orange. I already need an upgrade

I am using the PS 180W jumbo and very happy with the results

One of the reasons I went with PS is the 90 day return policy and I am planning to upgrade to the 126w

You will be very happy going with a PS

Nice, thx for sharing. I enjoyed checking out your grow and the results. You say you are planning to upgrade to the 126w? From the 180w?

You are welcome I watched irishboy's grow and that's how I found out about LED lights

Yeah I am going to talk with the company and see if they will let me upgrade my until

I think the 126w will work better for my setup
