not sure which to tell you it will be your choice. But I just got a 600 watt Ipower refurb ballast about 3 months ago for 32.00$ USD off of ebay and it has performed outstanding (so far). and I know some dealers are in UK. so just thought I'd give ya another option.

I'm about to real soon. Can't wait to move on to better things. More surface area, no glass or reflectors wasting light you pay a for, and very very simple. I plan on tripling my yields with vert. All you need is a fan underneath to help the heat rise and a socket to hang. That simple.

What I don't get about vertical growing is that the same thing can be achieved by super-cropping the main trunk (putting the plant at a 90 degree angle) and then one doesn't have to worry about branches breaking as all the branches will point upward as God intended.

We are God indoors. There's no doubt that vertical grows yield much more. Just look at the math in my pic. Visit some of the vertical threads and you'll see their amazing results.

Pretty sure god didnt concider supercropping in his design of the plant and how could supercropping possibly be less prone to breaking something than vert growing? Vert growing will yield more than horizontal growing for the simple fact it utilizes space better, thats not an opinion its just the way it is

Im a super cropping maniac. I use Dyna Grow ProTekt in my feeding and foliar spray. The Silica helps the healing tremendously! I love seeing weakling branches with huge sturdy ass knuckles.

We're sort of hogging someone else's thread. I've looked at vert-growing and find it interesting. I'm not sure my grow space is right for such an endeavor though.

Would you choose this one...

or this one...

Or would you recommend something else completely?

I haven't a clue... Any help most welcome.
Well I honestly think vert would be very easy for new grower. Don't even have to train the plants...just put them around the bulb. If you can hang a bulb and put a fan under then you're good. Another big bonus is that it'll save you a lot of $ in not having to buy reflectors, ducting, etc. the only thing you might need is some chicken wire to circle around your bulb to support plants.

If you want to go horizontal I can tell you the best bang for your buck equip. You have the luxury of a big room so it comes down to what you want to do.
