You could also cut it back a bit and keep it going under the light and put out next spring ..then cut back after summer right back i mean put back under light etc
Is there anyway to discern how far back we can cut the plant back without being detrimental to the plants health in the future?

as long as it has leaves it will build itself & reproduce again
well that sucks atm, not much for bottom foliage on her atm, maybe i should harvest these peppers she produced and hope for a good seed count? I really screwed up not paying closer attention to the plant this late summer as it sat on an open porch for 3 months straight it got wtf ever those bugs are and they defoliated it before i could do anything to help it recover, it's lost a 1/3 of its orig canopy and all seem to have fallen from the bottom more than anywhwere, just pisses me off because this was one of my finest creations and my FIRST balut jolokia plant ever!

I am thinking cloning may work if i can ASSURE myself ive gotten rid of the bugs, dont get me wrong the einstein oil and persistance of my spraying has wiped 95% of anything visable with a x30 scope however im nervous obviously. I'll give it a shot and put up my progress here well both my progress and the cuttings progress. I figure if i hit a select branch with og biowar, neem etc and keep it clean i could use that to clone with maybe, such a healthy lady.

after you clone it cut it right back to just the stem couple of branches and leave two or three leaves on it even if they are small..it will take off again

She stopped dropping leaves.......Should i just let her finish naturally in my window? then winterize? last thing i wanna do is stress the ole girl out.

just let her go man theres a chance the window area may be enough to keep her going without trimming it back for a while yet :)

There are some awesome piles of peppers in here!

Here are my two late bloomers, a hungarian paprika and a white habanero. I had to bring them inside because its freezing. Threw together a couple leds for them, and am waiting to see how well the lights work. So far so good, harvested a paprika yesterday and it was tasty.

Update had to move my Aji Panca indoors because the Temp's have dropped here. The peppers have been growing fast.

That pepper plant looks happy, what lights\timing are you using?

We also gonna do heirloom chilis and medicinal herbs at Jah @ruby fruit . You know any good hierloom chili breeders/producers you can put me onto the path?
I got some good seeds a few years back from the New Mexico Chili Pepper Institute. https://chile.nmsu.edu/seeds Their Numex Jalapeno and Jalamundo both grew huge, and the numex sweet peppers were super tasty.
