Looks like They have been busy over there, saw this on Gromau5 instagram, what do you all think? Pre-Orders for April 30th right now

This board was specifically designed to fit the RapidLED 140mm pin heatsink and acts as a enhanced COB replacement.

The 3000 kelvin base spectrum is enhanced with next gen 660nm deep red diodes for a superb flowering spectrum. While this board may be used for vegetative growth, its flowering spectrum is specifically targeted towards red & deep red levels that are not available in COBs.

At 50 watts, ChilLED Logic boasts 15% increased photon efficacy over Cree cxb3590 at 1400ma. At 100 watts, ChilLED Logic maintains an efficacy of 2.35 µmol/J chip level.

Thermal management & heat spread is excellent on the Rapid 140mm pin heatsink. It may be possible to use other heatsinks, this will be up to the user as ChilLED Tech can only verify proper fitment on the Rapid 140mm. No thermal interface material is required, however TIM can offer nominal performance gains should the user choose to apply it.

So efficiency wise it's comparable to (slightly below) a Citizen CLU056-1825 at 100W?

Not sure I buy the "superb flowering spectrum" stuff. Never seen any proof of claims like that. In this case the difference is only 4 extra deep red leds anyway.

Looks nice though and it's clever how they position it as sort of a drop-in replacement for old COBs.

Have to say that I think it would have been more compelling as an enhanced-spectrum strip, instead of this tight cluster of diodes in a small footprint.
I've been thinking about that for a while. Wondering about the feasibility of replacing some of the diodes on a strip with deep reds?

Just preordered 2 of these. GMs utube videos were what really got me going on leds. Also chilledgrowlights is only like a hour drive from my home and I'm always happy to support local companies. Excited to see what else they got coming down the line.

@Growmau5 chiseling out new tools for the tool shed. I look at this product and see something very convenient for alot of CoB set ups. That kind of insight into the growing community is unparalleled by the other 95% of companies pushing products to growers. For growers by growers. I am already thinking of ways to incorporating a couple of these into my set up.

I still prefer strips! No heatsink, better coverage, less distance to the canopy...
Should I continue...., lol?
What strips do you use and can you let me know where you get them? I’m planning on Photon Fantom boards but would like some other options too.

Sure, digikey or arrow. Search by part-number.
I prefer Samsung F-Series, gen.3. They use the same LM561c/S6 diodes like Quantumboards.

well if you happen to have the heatsinks they fit that is

That's easy! Same as for COB's, mate.
Meanwell's constant current(CC) HLG- or ELG-Series for series connection. Or you can also use the constant voltage/constant current(CV/CC) driver series but in this case you need to wire the strips in parallel.

For instance, a HLG-120H-C1050B(C means CC) has 148v and 1050mA, thats enough for six 24v F-Series strips connected in series.
Or if you take a HLG-120H-24A(no C means it's a CV/CC driver) you could use as many 24v strips like you want but you need to connect them all in parallel.

based on diode count that seems about right
puck = 210 diodes
1825 = 450 diodes

in my test of 1212s vs QBs you needed about twice the diodes with the cobs. while there are a few HE reds in there its still 95% white phosphor

I'm a little confused.. I'm also wondering what drivers work best with the F-series strips (the double row strips, 46V).. above you noted that the strips are 46V, but then below you are talking about 24V strips... what drivers specifically would work best for the 46V F-series strips? there are meanwell hlg series drivers that are 48V, but not 46V.. would those work?
