my leaves are dry and brittle a yellowish orange color. there is little dots all over the leaves. soil is fox farm ocean forest. light is 1000w. im 30 days into flower. I use GH nutes. my strain is TGA cheesequake. I have tried a few things, what im trying next is moving them out of closet in hopes that the 1000w light was to much in a 4x3 closet and to get temps. down. any help would be appreciated this is my second run with cheesequake and had the same problem the first time but turned out ok. one of their sister is incredibly healthy very green no growth stunt so idk. Help?:wall:

Yikes, that kinda does look like heat stress. I'd work on your temps first before anything else.
Also, you need to take a look at your fertilizer. Does it have any Nitrogen in it? Are the P and K values significantly higher than the N? I think your fertilizer may be causing some issues if it's not simply heat. How often do you feed them and how much at a time? Was the sister plant in the same closet?

Misting is ideal like the last post stated. If the leaves can absorb water it could really help them out

I've grown cheesequake out a few times and my first runs had the same problem as you're having. I tried cal-mag and tweaking my compost tea recipe to no avail. I then set up a side-by-side test with 6 clones. The 3 in the test group received 1 cup leftover guanos/compost from my AACT added to the bottom of their 5 gallon pots. It consisted of seabird guano, jamaican bat guano, castings, and alfalfa meal (used once in a tea). After a month in flower, the control group was experiencing the same deficiency while the test group was lush green and healthy. The guano/compost I added was high in nitrogen and phosphorous so I'm assuming the plants needed a slow, steady release source of N and P.
Here's some pics I took when the deficiency first started to appear in the control group. First pic is side-by-side with control, test.

thanks guys for some advice im trying that today, Ive waited to late about asking for help in hopes I could get her back under control but now im just hoping she can be salvaged. yes the sister is right beside her in the closet and not a problem. I have to water every 4 days due to temps drying soil out and I use the general hydroponics drain to waste guide at regular strength

. Hey your problem looks like the problem I have on my main cola which is closest to the lights. I'm experimenting with a couple things to get her back. I'm really starting to think it might be too hot at the top of my box and my fan was just circulating that heat at the top. I'm using CFLs , so I just removed a couple to see if too much heat is being generated. Let me know how things turn out and I will let you know if I get mines worked out. Peace!

I have moved all 3 girls out to the middle of the room now the ceiling fan helps circulate the heat. it done feels a whole lot cooler under the light. I did mist them a little but ive always heard not to mist when buds are present. I will post new pics later of the new setup

ok guys I need advice I just checked soil water runoff for ph. I saw on here to let it runoff an then do it again and that's the water you want to gage ph from. well my GH ph test indicator showed that it was inbetween 4.0 and 5.0 and I only checked the sickest plant. now I want to check my healthy plant to see if is the same. can anybody help me with what to do now, ive never really messed with ph that much but kno its very important!! so that being said im not sure on anything to do or if that is bad.

I never check my pH. Did you calibrate your meter? 4 is very acidic, so if that is an accurate reading that could be the problem.
What do you feed them? What soil do you have them in? Just check the run off on the other plants and see if it is a ridiculous number.

Are your plants looking any better than they were before?

no they are looking the same if not worse I checked the healthy one with no problems and the ph that I got was the same. I use fox farm ocean forest. I feed them general hydroponics flora line I usually water them with a ph level of 6 - 6.5. my only way of checking ph is with the kit that come with my nutes its just a vile that u fill half up then put 3 to 4 drops of this concentrate that come with

I don't think the problem is your pH. You say they are getting worse? If I remember right, you flushed them already?
Have you fixed your temperatures?
Here is what I do. I mix my feeding solution and then test the pH of that. With plants that size, the FFOF shouldn't be burning it. It's hard to tell what is wrong, there is a chance that you might have given them too much N though. Just give them plain water for a while and make sure they are in a cool area. Sometimes it takes a while for the plants to begin to look heathy again. The brown leaves aren't going to turn green again and the new leaves may be getting burned as well. Just keep an eye on the new growth and see if it's getting any better.
