As far as yield goes I find the bud structure to be VERY dense. An ounce of this dried looks like a half ounce of any other strain. Very heavy. With that comes the potential for mold. Depending on where you live, and the time of year, you will want to be sure to have good air flow around the larger flowers and a handle on your RH to make sure you aren't tossing out moldy bud.

No doubt give them good airflow. I have air going in all corners of my room and i run up to 70% rh, no issue yet , knock on wood. Stow knows his chit. I'm thinking of getting a few tga beans myself, ripped bubba and jillybean have my attention.

Your humidity is fine no worries of mold...I just watched a video yesterday where subcool wife said jillybean and agent o were their first strains and the only two they don't know the genetics on the female they bred them with...they also said they don't do that anymore...so many options I will stay away from the jillybean because of that..the ao I already ran smelled great but not impressive plants

hmm interesting.. i think i remember them saying they had stopped doing jb when they parted company temporarily a while back....but i also think i remeber him saying shes brought it back since hmmmm not sure
i have wanted to run it since i saw a vid of some guys grow on youtube, a comparision on hps buds vs cfl i think... hes using jilly bean to show the difference and it looks so nice hm il have to do more research.. oh well i have enough beans for now

thanks

ok......so to make sure I had reset my max/min setting for temp/hygrometre..... and its worringly saying RH is getting to 80 +(this must be at night)...... when the lights are off and the temps come down the box will be condensating inside raising the RH (occasinally woke up to a small puddle in the bottom of box).... will the time its sat in dark (12 hours obv) be long enough for mold to set in? as once the temps come back up RH is back to under 40....

could try putting some salt in there to keep the RH down.. any ideas people.. really dont wont this run to be ruined as its gone 100% so far and this has me worried ha

Ya I would not like that id I were you...you need either more circulation at night or to keep the temps a little higher at night

no im not liking it... so close can taste it cant get mold now... fans are running 24/7 but atm its only small 12v pc fan just going to have to hold it out. no way of getting heat in there temps have been as low as 45f (strangely still not any signs of purple though)

Ooh my...45! i'm going to be blunt with you...going to have to hold it out is not a choice unless you want what I would consider failure...how long left?? How long do you think temps were that low every night?? Your growth will be so stunned if you still have Weeks to go in that cold..for me Idk of a solution so i'm going to leave it after all that wait money and hard work is not even in the vocabulary you need to remedy that! Not only are cold nights affecting your growth but that tiny fan can't handle the moisture so low temps are causing you two different problems and you need to fix AT LEAST one!! Get a better fan in there at the least...I can't go first page now remind me how many plants and how large the room is and where in the house and how far along and what not....we are going to get through this together man loljk

haha cheers for support man...
night time temps have been that, pretty much through out so far..... probably started dropping under 40s in last couple of months but never got over 70 at night in there.....so not too worried about that shes a hardy bugger...outside in my shed... i got one..in a 2ft by 1.5 by 2ft box, 3 cfls, one pc intake, one 6inch exhaust fan.. connected inline to one other pc fan....pc fan in there for circulation pretty much in the cannopy

CQ its 9 wks (65 days) (think its taking its time due to night temp) going to go check it today will upload some pics too

sometimes it stanks so strong, can smell it on my street ha reviews were right this one is a stinker

so do you think i sohuld just cut i now whilst its still good... i really do want to hold out a few more days doesnt look quite ready to me...

Also anyone got any ideas why that one bud is being a pain??? and not maturing vey quickly...... seems very strange to me but im a newbie so wtf do i know

Ooh ok your almost done...probably would have seen some serious resin on that thing and increased weight if you could have kept the temp up but ooh well...I would try to wait a bit longer to harvest that but you are nine in as it is so not much longer..looks great for living in the cold under just a few cfls!

Yeah hoping and praying with fingers crossed thanks kermit..
ha more resin i cant beleive that would be possible :O haha j/k

cannot wait to see what a PAR lighting system mixed with organics will do hopefully should have a higher night temp on next run too

It just never seem to be stunted (although would make sense to assume it would be) in fact its the most vigorous plant i have run yet. must be good genetics but obv no way of teling how much temps have affected things... as its my first time with CQ

but if it grows more vigorously and happier than this one did... id like to see it

So you think hang on another 4,5 days then??? as that what feels right to me....

Thanks yeah it just shows how much is actually down to genetics and a healthy medium.. i think lights and temps etc although are obviously variables that affect yield.. they dont seen to have as much impact as good genetics etc

I only say this as this seems to have flurished in a less than ideal enviroment and with what could be classed a poor quality light source (itensity) would things of been vastly different with 200w of hps and a dialed enviroment.....hmm food for thought?

If you feel it needs longer let her go. You'll dial in where you like the plants in no time. The first plant I ever grew was in the coldest conditions and did ok to my surprise. Little lady had the will to survive instilled within her roots lol.

Beuffer thanks yeah i am doing..... just really dont want to have to throw away any of this beautiful bud....

think i read somehwere too... that its not all on how cold the room temp is.... but your root zone.

if the roots were at 45f then i dont think they would of had a chance and growth would of being very much stunted..

That one bud thats been difficult seems like it maybe starting to mature slowly now

and shes down! a bit earlier than id like due to massive paranoia of smell.... and not as many pics as id like due to lack of preperation before trimming but its over big update to come soon
