its sooo not tho! it runs NICEEE and cool. red spectrum, ummm,2700k and it puts out 4200 lummens! i got it in my flowering chamber next to my 150 watt hps, it puts out a quarter f the lummens my hps does and 5x colder! i got i right up next to my ak-47xafgani that ive been mothering but ended up flowering

its an a-19 standard base...
i use four of those but slightly lower wattage... 3100k and 5100k, 2 of each. they work NICE...

ps-
mine are architectual lamps ;) i get them from an electrical supply house cheap cheap too ;)

i have a 250watt in my bloom tent for side lighting. not 250 equivalent, actually 250watts 2700k. it makes a sweet addition to the 400watt hps above. colas are literally 1/3 bigger than the ones on the other side of the tent if i don't rotate. i mix in a few 42 watters on the other side.

very interesting, i was wondering if you already have reached optimum lumens per sq foot with an HPS system, is there any advantage to adding cfl's to the flower room? and why?

i cant belive your really amazed by the size of your bulb dude, you smoke to much. that bulb is tiny compared to my CFL light im running 2 x 250 watt cfl bulbs. each bulb is 13inches long and 9 inches round giving off a massive 20,000 lumens each. now thats big . check out my grow

im adding co2. more light means bigger flowers as long as you have enough co2. with cfl's alone you don't have enough light to be able to make use of any more co2 than you can find in normal fresh air about 300ppm. with hps you can utilize much more co2 as you increase the wattage of your lamp. with a 400 watt hps it is still not even bright enough to use all the co2 in an environment the is enriched up to 1500ppm, it can only use about 600-800ppm. so, i have in no way maxed out the flowering potential in my own growroom. i still want more light!!! :bigjoint:

add a hps... you're still just running cfl's. don't act badass

Picture please, and is it an "a19" standard bulb?

yes it's about 19" long probably 8" diameter. i also have a 200watt veg spectrum that i have my sourD mommy under. i don't have pics... i've never taken any pictures of my lightbulbs.. maybe after i get batteries for my camera i'll snap a few and post them. i've been meaning to get batteries for a few weeks now. I have a thread on some sensistar that i intended to keep updated but i never remember to go get the damn things so that i can take some pics.:eyesmoke:
