Check Out My New CFL SOG Grow Box

I finished my new cab today. It has all the wiring hidden in the top chamberand the only cords that come out the back are 1 for the fans and 1 for the lights.I am using (2) 4.75inch PC fans powered by a ATX power supply and (6) 26W Daylight CFL's [With warm white ready for flower]. The temps stay between 74-82 and it is lined with frostking 1/8th reflective insulation. It is 95% light proof (the little light that escapes exits from the intake and exauhst fans.

It took about 5 hours because I didn't have the proper tools (try making holes for the screws, fans, and cords using a $5 extacto knife), and it cost me about $175 including the veg and flower bulbs.

i know sog is low profile but iono that might not be enough vertical space for growing

Yeah i would alow at least another 4-6 inches

take the box out at the bottom and you should be fine

You could build that yourself for under 50 bucks and actualy put twice the lights

The box cost $40 at walmart... no tools required and it has 2 adjustable shelves

dont like cfls but i like the box, i think ill go pick one up for my moms, and clones

It is a very well built box u just leaving it open or do you have some vent fans

I have 2 fans, 1 for intake and 1 for exauhst. They are 4.75 inch heavy duty PC fans that I picked up for $6 each. You can see them in the second picture(open). You can also see the 90 Degree vents over the fans in the first pic (closed). For my next box Im going to put the vents on the back of the box instead of the front.
