cheap is actually a tough question, there are some very cheap sites that will deliver some very poor quality seed
of the relatively reputable, low cost seed banks, i've had good luck with seed boutique(grow in progress, not sure of result yet)
shipping is cheap for the low cost option($5), they give you free seeds on small orders, and they have a good selection of some of the low priced breeders

Gypsy nirvana is usually cheapest on whole packs. I like world wide marijuana seeds for single seeds. Both ship to usa.

i dont see why you have to pay 5 bucks for 1 friggan seed i mean one plant alone can produce well over 2000 seeds. plus peak seeds has some awesome genes and ive gotten allot of good high end product from there. i always suggest keeping a male in a separate room so you can pollinate a few buds using the brush method.

Fine, Then don't spend any. It shouldn't be that hard to find some bagseed... Likely you'll get it for free, and who knows? It may be great!
The purpose of BUYING seed is to know in advance what you're going to get. You're right... The price of seed has gotten pretty high, BUT, when you stop to think how much weight of bud you'll get for your efforts even a few hundred bucks is trivial.

i agree with you on that...ie i dont mind spending 8 bucks a seed for some really good stuff or maybe even lowryder if its from a well known breeder.. but as far as keep but good genes go with peakseeds bc or vancouverseed.com (VISC).. both are known for great genetics and both are fair on your wallet.

Not always. By that logic doggie's nuts seeds would be the greatest thing ever.
You can get lots of great strains in the $4-$5/per seed price range. Sometimes even cheaper. Just do some research first.
