Have to say that I have been doing hydro for a little while now & my tri-meter Hanna that set me back like $200+ was the best investment I could have made. On a limited budget it's pretty hard but you CAN find PPM & PH meters on e-bay for around the budget you are shopping with. If you're looking to get dialed into a specific range such as 5.80 PH etc, nothing comes in handier.
Check listings for Hanna PH & Hanna PPM meters on Ebay & then go from there.
We can get those meters here in our city there pete hehe. Theres a indoor garden shop right by my house here and their prices are GODLY! ... in a good way. Oh I've been to that shop a few times in my history kind sir. I must say the tax break & great discounts gets me driving into PDX every time though. I do care a great deal to stop into the minute mart that is kiddy corner to that said hydro shop because they always have some rare beers on their shelves from time to time. It's the one where the cooler takes up like half of the building in the back left corner, do you know which one I'm talking about that's kiddy corner to the 7 Eleven?
Naw man, this is the place across the street from Skippers, in the same complex where the grow store USED to be. The grow store actually moved to it's currently location like 2 years ago. The store I'm talking about is like a hole in the wall kinda place & you're right about that 7-Eleven, I'm likely to get shot being the only white dude that walks into that place during the last 2 years.
