CHEAP DIY High CFM Bars. ($10 = 5"x5' tent)

Getting really tired of my girls looking cube shaped due to my exhaust sucking so bad :)
I have a 4x4 and 4x8 Vivosun tent and didn't want to break the bank for some bars from Gorilla (only ones I saw) so I came up with this.

4'x4' tent materials...
8- 1/2" pvc tees
2- 1/2"x10' schedule 80 pvc pipes.(SCH80 has more rigidity than regular pvc. Grey in color)

Slide the tees over your outer poles. Cut pipe just a little longer than needed. I chose for my front/back bars to be the higher pair but it doesn't matter. What does matter is making sure your push button locks on your poles are facing to where they will "lock" into the center of your bottom tee sets. It's not absolutely necessary. You can use zip ties or whatever to lock your tees where you want them on your poles, but as you can see the pole locks have enough grip to support a few clip-on fans so good enough for the veg tent. I'm only running 3 bars in here since there's a bit more open space than the flower tent.

In the 4x8 flower tent I am putting in 2 sets (1 low/high) and think I might use some of the spring clips that you squeeze to release around the poles so I can place the bars exactly where I want them.

I managed to get all the materials for both tents for $33 from Menards/Lowes. That wouldn't have covered the cost of a set just for the 4x4.
Figured I'd share. Hope some find them useful.

Went ahead and put a set in the flower tent. After seeing it in action I knew there was no need to put in another. Zipties work just fine to hold everything in place and can still be slid up and down to adjust height. Nothing is glued so all bars are easily removable. Added bonus, I now have unlimited options as to how to mount and direct airflow with my fans. Only change is I will be swapping out the tees on the center tent poles for crosses. Didn't fully think that one through...

Really wish I would thought of this months ago.

That, and being quarantined in the house for the last 2 weeks :)
Well this is just the beginning.

It's gonna be a while before this is over. They have to make a vaccine, test it at least a little, manufacture enough of it and distribute it to everyone. I think they are down playing everything with numbers like 3 weeks, they don't know.

When we come out the other side of this situation things will never be the same again. I expect at least a billion will perish world wide.

I really hope I am wrong but I feel they are downplaying the situation to prevent or at least delay mass hysteria.

I'm in agreement.
I went through enough NBC (nuclear, biological, chemical warfare) training and saw enough of death to get the jist of how this all works.

Even if/when a vaccine is available, all we're doing is delaying the inevitable.
There will always be a "next one". People will get it.
They will die. Period.

We can't bubble wrap the whole world.

Personally though, I think "normal" needs a reset anyway.

I hope the best for all, but it was mother nature who decided it's the fittest that survives.

We have been fighting nature, building a house of cards in every possible way.

just found these, thought I would share! I don't think the snap tee would clip onto the tent poles right, but the 4 way tee would be a cool fitting you could use.
