changing my lights help

Hey guys im currenty using a mix of cfl's. 26w 6500k's and 20w 2700k's.
I was reading some stickys and a few old light threads and i here alot about the
High pressure sodium. if i want to replace my cfl's with HPS how many watts am i looking for? Also Some say blue spectrum is good for vegi state and some say it is good for flowering..Witch is it? i thought red spectrum is for flowering.. anywayz please fill me in?

Here She is right now...Hope its a she anywayz...lol

Please anyone? i need to no how many watts i need
 
depends on your cashflow, and your room, and how many plants you want to grow and several other things. i use a 600 watt in my flower room hold 10-15 plants depending on size. ran me right at 200$ if jump your wattage up a lot you may need better ventilation.

higher color temp for veg, lower for flower. hps are low color temp, and for flowering. but can be used pretty effectively in veg too.
 
If all you intend to grow is one plant, buy a couple more 2700k's and be done with it. If you give a little more info about how much you want to grow, soil/hydro?? grow space...
someone might be able to answer your question.
 
HID generally give out 1.5 to 2x more lumens then CFLS, so you can half your wattage if you switch. I still grow wicked weed with CFLs though, so its not a necessity. Hope this helps. Happy Growing!

thanks im just going to flower with more 2700ks
 
That will work. I grew for at least a year with CFL's and got some damn good smoke. Remember, you cant have too many CFL's.
