Changing light time to speed harvest??????

Ok so my question is if I change my lights from 12/12 to 10 light/14sleep will it make my plant bud any faster. I have been budding for about 5 weeks now my plant is northern lights and was a clone. I'm asking because if it will not help I dont want to add stress to the plant. What do you guys think??
 
Dude thats called impatience. let it grow and if you dont like the 2 month wait, I dunno.. invent a faster blooming strain at the cost of 100's of millions of dollars..
 
I had to do that with a Haze#1 from Nirvana to get it to goto bud. I have read threads on here about that to speed up harvest & the general consensus is it does not help.

Its only time & seeds so try it. If it doesnt work its not the end of the world... just not a good world for a while till you get some new buds :)
 
your coming from an idea that bud only grows during the dark period which is not true. its simply the cut back of light.. 12/12 is best because its even.. Why would you think your Plant Getting LESS Light, would make it..Grow Faster. :)
 
I don't mean to sound impatient but your right. I was just wondering if it had been tried Or if it worked. I know out side they end up with around 10 and a half hours light in some places so thought it was a valid question.
 
10/14 is a great light schedule. In fact, I'd highly suggest it during the last stage of flowering. I know Subcool does.
Most plants, while entering their final stage of flowering have even less than 10 hours of light outdoor. It won't speed anything though.
 
I've talked to the guy who got me started and a couple of other people, and they said that it make your plant think that the season is about to change sooner, so they try harder to make more th(. This is my first grow too. Right now I got two northern light+ak47 flowering in week five. i just put them in a 11/13 light schedule. Im going to take away 45 min. a week for week six and seven, and see what that do. Hopefully it'll make them be some strong ass halfbaked type shit.:bigjoint: I took a couple clones form them before I started cloning, so if something goes wrong, I'll correct my mistake next time. also if you go on youtube, type ready set grow and it will give you a little info too.
