Changing growing mediums

Has anyone noticed that putting a plant that grew up in a hydro environment to a soil environment shocks the plant in the short term, and it never fully recovers?

I'm saying this because it seems that hydro plants grow to be more succulent, and the plant structure never seems to recover when swapped to soil. even moist soil.

I'm also wondering if anyone has tried moving plants from soil to hydro? Any changes?

Finally, do clones grown in an aero environment have problems moving to soil?

I clone useing an aero cloner and it doesn't seem to be a big deal when I transfer them to dirt. let the root get about an inch long and plop it in, n let her grow.

As far as your other qestions I don't know.

No experience in moving developed plants from hydro to soil but I use an aero cloner for my clones and move them to soil all the time with no issues, once they've rooted and transferred to soil they take a few days to spread their roots and grow normally.
