CFL's: twisted or straight?

I've always noticed in all the grow journals and pics that people use those twisted cfls, even thou straight cfls deliver the exact same lum/watt and seem to be a tad cheaper.

What would be the reason for this clear choice for the twisted types? Is it space? Equal light distribution? Funky look?:weed:

The twisted CFLs (Compact Florescent) and straight Florescent are the same technology, they just twisted the bulb up to save space. T5's are cheaper but also take up more space, I'd go with t5's if I had room but CFLs work just as well IMO
