Hyroot. I did not read your posts and I still think you are arrogant and an asshole at the same time. That was the first time I have ever swore on this website, but I felt like I had to in order to show you how much of a dumb ass I think you are. What is the point of pulling out all these charts and quotes? Why cant you show your point in other ways than coming out to look like an over-confident idiot? I don't have any friends like you and I never will. Please stop going around telling people that everything they have been doing is wrong. We are all fighting the government atry growing, not trying to show who's dick is bigger. Peace out playboy.

Hyroot. It's time you recognized your flaws. Just because multiple people are telling you that you are rude, does not make them 'haters'. Just the fact that you say there are 'haters' against you shows me that you are, in fact, an idiot. Your shit smells as bad, if not worst, then ours. Wake up buddy.

pot tato I personally like to veg with 4ft fluorescents then switch to HPS for flowering. I've never done 20 plants. I typically start with 10 then usually end up about 6 females in flower. When they are seedlings I only use 4 tubes, but by the time I'm a week or two into flowering I'm using about the same wattage in fluorescents as I use in HPS. If you're using 2kW HPS in flowering can you really get away with only 600W MH or Fluoro in veg?


And as for hyroot, you have some good info, but you come off as a total ass if someone doesn't doesn't completely agree with. That makes me and proably many other just ignore what you have to say.

well I get a electricity bill every three months and what I want is to get as close to 1g per watt (2Kw flower) without a hectic power bill.
so if anyone can give me there opinion it would be appreciated.
I havent got clones so I gotta start with seeds... how many hours shud I have unsprouted/small seedlings under mh?(600watt)
then once they little bigger I could put all 20 small plants under one mh until there bigger and need 2 mh's that way I save alittle power. then when I have to use 1000 watters is there ballasts that use less power?

Phantom blassast. They are expensive but well worth it in the long run! My friend uses em and said they drop bills by considerable amount.

I also noticed this was said a couple times. I think this is just outright wrong information. About 50% of the light coming from the sun is outside of the spectrum usable for photosynthesis, so the sun isn't 100% PAR its more like 50% PAR. And HID lamps are better than 10% PAR. a 400W HPS is about 140 PAR watts, so doesn't that make it 35% PAR? So at 96% PAR apparently T5's are better than the sun and HPS lamps combined :)

when you read a book or go to school for a degree you are learning off some one elses work. so did anyone on here write any of the horticulture books at universities? did anyone write those microbiology books? no they did not so that is learning off some one elses work. when you post a link to a university backing up the validity of what you are saying. did you writ write that paper. everything prof has quoted from scientist, he did not write those papers either. so that can be considered plagiarism. knowledge is knowledge no matter where you get it just as long as it's valid
