cfl setup test, first mj grow

I think its not as much as a matter of time as it is how big they are getting. Any where from 2 to 6 weeks maybe ? Don't forget about controlling your nutes and ph to keep them at their best level. And it will have to be able to call you on your cell if anything's not working. I like your way of thinking on the set-up though.

i'm lacking on the nutes and ph part. i have been feeding irontron nutes. its got 10-10-10. no burns, so far, but really i think my pots to big, it stay wet too long. i hope to get those awesome foxfarms on order this weekend.

how do the cheap $10 ph meters work??

as for the code we will see how this winter goes. but i was wondering if anybody using fans to coold there hps ever come back to find there fans stoppedand there plant burned. not sure.. but anyway you could put a ct (current transformer) around the fan power leads and tie it into a relay operating the hps. if the fan stopped the light would turn off. maybe i just think to much.. and yes then it would call you on your celly.

Why not have it turn on the backup fans instead of turning off your light? And yes it would still call your cell. I do not like the cheap meter that I got. Pain in the ass to check soil ph. You were supposed to mix some water with the dirt and then check it. Way to much work. I did see one at Harvest Moon Hydroponics for soil that looked a lot easier to use for about$25.00. I got a pretty good ph meter off ebay pretty cheap, but it is just for testing water. But that was what I wanted. I don't know anything about irontron nutes, but make sure they also have the micro nutes that you need also. There's a lot to learn about nutes. I do hear the Fox farm is really good. I've tried one of there soils and was very happy with it. I have another bag of a different one that I'm going to try next. I'm looking forward to it. It is also ph balanced already in the range that we want. Get a ph meter and test and ajust the water and nutes that you give them. As far as your pot size, your just giving them to much water at a time. Try to let them dry out a little between waterings. It also can help the roots to grow more if you do because they will have to go in search of water a little. Just keep a good eye on the plants and they will tell you what they need. What are you using for soil?

i got some soil from my girlfriends work. shes a gardener. she gave me the breakdown but its with the plant and i've taken off my shoes. i'll have to post that shit up sometime. its not mg though. i'm not sure about the irontron nutes. i got em at a plant place. i will surely get the foxfarms though. for the ph, i had my water tested and it was right on. i forget the nubmer but it was perfect. but i would still like to get one the ones i saw for like 15$ looked cheap

and your right. don't jepordize your lighting. turn on the back up fans.. now were getting somewhere. the whole reason this isn't here though is the coding tiem and $$ to get all that. but now that i'm in the boat, i will have extra this and that and could most likely put something together.


i'm thinking when these seeds crack i might wanna change my thread. even though then it will be ever changing. it won't be a test.. i wonder where to put it though. cfls?? i might switch to hps. how does that journals work???

I'm not even sure about any of the seeds age. they could be way past gone. we will see.

When i read the bottle it sounds like this is some good bad shit. mostly made of metal. i doubt i will put any of this on my plant anymore. it looks like i need to def order those foxfarms! the metal nutes were like $18. maybe i just put it on my marigolds or something.

if i decide to divide my living quarters up into two. how many cfls would i be looking at to flower? i would imagine about the same as now, just cooler temps... I was thinking it might be good practice to flower me test plant. i learn alot from these test.

if you're talking about color temp's, you would want a warmer color temp for flowering.
