Cfl question

I am plotting thoughts for growing and recently discovered cfl growing. I like the fact that you dont need to mess around with expenisive lights and ballasts to use the same energy that u can use or find with cfls. Is there anyone that could help me get a better idea of what lights or how many long tube flouros to grow about 20 plants or less? After my first grow i wanted to try low stress training.Has anyone ever seen lst growing techniques where u grow the plant in a line or circles/ squares? And couldnt it be even a better advantage to use lst in a line that ran parallel to long tube flouros? just a thought:bigjoint:

i run 12 cfls and my plants love it i havent flowered under them yet so i cnt say anything on the yeild you will get but my plants are loving the light for 20 plants you woiuld need a shit load of lights with inviduals all together would be pricey the whole reason for me to use cfls is to save money and not 300 or so on an hps but for 20 plants i would go with hps lights

well even in the long run using as many lumens as an hps would use, wouldnt they save energy and cost considerably less?

i always train my plants to grow in circles; indoors it keeps them shorter, outdoors it keeps them out of plain view; plus the sucker plants get more light which = more size

:leaf::leaf: That is a good idea but you would need a LOT of fluorescent tube's to cover 20 or so plants. I recommend CFL's way more than fluorescent tubes for the simple fact that CFL's are easy to position in almost any spot and they come in higher wattages. :leaf::leaf:

the way i see it is to have a couple cfls help save energy and cost but have a ton of them will add up
your computers uses about 600 watt of energy so having a hps wouldnt really effect anything well thats my view dont take my word for it just tryin to help ya kno
