you need more for flowering for decent bud, but for veg, those can do the trick with proper placement and reflective surfaces.

I have 4 of them 4-3 inch from plant reflective walls 360° around. 4 week veg 5 week 12/12..3rd week of flowering since hairs have shown buds are small

I had between 6 and 8 23W CFLS all throughout veg and flower but mixed spectrum. this is what i grew

From experience your not gonna get dense buds. CFLs can't penetrate the foiliage as well as HPS.
But I grew a plant that tested out to 23% THC so don't let anyone tell your bud wont be good. It's just definitely not as efficient

Those look pretty damn good...And what did u yield on that grow?
Iv did LST on the current plant and did some trim work so I do have a lot of the area covered seams to have done well so far and I switched allbtheclights out to 2700k cfl and its doing a lot better and I randomly add more when I get the chance I trust in the CFL's I don't expect massive award winning buds just my own personal medication

Thanks!!
I yielded 34 grams DRY 5oz wet harvest. Deceiving at first. I didnt realize how much water weight the plant can hold.

Well I haven't spent over $50 on my set up and I pay $350-$400 an oz for my bud. So if I can pull an oz off a one plant then I'm 100% in the green so to speakim gonna change some things up on the next one so hopefully I'll yield more

In my experience bud denseness is mainly strain dependant.
These buds were dense. You couldn't tell if they were grown with cfls or any other lights:)....

Dont forget the electric bill.
My ounce cost me and $300 or so with the elctric. ( but I also had a very inefficient heater heating my grow cabinet)
