hi all, i have 2 125w cfls running at the moment. they are just a lead and plug. they are hanging straight down over the plants but i want to keep them sideways so there is more light actualy getting to the plants. has anyone got some tips for hanging them horizontaly. if i just tie a loop in some rope and put it around the end of the bulb to hang it horizontaly will it burn the rope. any suggestions would be great as i dont think im getting the most out of my light as it is. are all cfls this big, its about 12 inches long, i thought they were just like the energy savin ones u use at home. ta

Get a long piece of baling wire from the Hardware store, throw a hook in one end and and a loop in the other. Screw the loop to the ceiling and use the hook end to hold the end of the bulb up so it hangs long wise. Baling wire is all metal it won't get hot or catch fire.

000_00041024x768.jpgWell if you can glue a power bar on somewhere, you can plug in your cfl's through a plug in bulb socket.

Power bar: 5-10$
Plug in Bulb Socket: 2-6$
