I am getting ready for a second grow and i was wondering which option i would be better off going. I only have a small space so hps lighting is out and i have found these two items on ebay and i was wondering which one is going to be better. The first one is LED.http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/26101252...X:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649#ht_7662wt_1139. The next one is CFL. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Fluoresc...ydroponics&hash=item231d78f501#ht_4312wt_1142. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Define small space. My grow space while tall, was nearing as small as they get, and i used a 600w hps without an issue with suitable ventilation and cooling.

All i can really advise with regards to LED lighting from everything i've read, is that unless you are spending hundreds upon hundreds upon hundreds, you'll typically be receiving a waste of time product. LED lighting works, but for something that works effectively, you gotta spend LOTS, the market is completely overwhelmed with POS LED grow pannels that are not worth your time and money. If i went LED i would be spending a lot and would be buying a specific model that i had done a lot of research on, if it was just some random light that looked suitable, then i would most certainly say no and go with CFLs

led makes buds denser and more resinous, but they're expensive and I don't know if these which you have are any good, so i recomend cfl's, but still the one you picked will take as much space as an hps, if you don't have much space get a lot of smaller cfl's about 23-36w bulbs, these produce about 70lumens/watt, and the one you picked will produce about 50lm/w, so just go to you local hardware store etc and get some cfl's, also i recomend this site: www.1000bulbs.com if you want the best bulb just divide lumens/watts and the bigger the number the better

and for best results use full spectrum lights for veging and warm whites for flowering, just search aroud this forum about led and cfl's you'll find what you need

I might be better off keeping my current bulbs. I have 4x24w 6500k cfl's for veg and 4x23w 2700k cfl's for flower. I am just trying to keep the running costs down other wise i would try HPS lights

Those lights you have will accept a 'beer can reflector' or put them in a large clamp reflector and almost double your light. A y splitter will have the 2 lights adding each to others beam and getting more penetration.

If you ran all those bulbs in flower you could get 2 or 3 ounces. Keep the plant at no taller than 18 inches and likely 1 foot would be better. With the y splitter and 2 lights together you would have around 8 inches of penetration and a reflector would add a few more I think. Those bulbs have 4 inches of good light coming off them, by themselves with no reflector.
