Okay so here are pictures of my light setup The bigger cfls are 23 watt 2700k. the smaller ones aRE 10 watt helica (idk what they are on the kelvin scale). My question is, how does this setup look? I will be building a grow box this upcoming friday. my concerns that my lights are too close. i've put my hand in the middle and its warm not hot. I'm not using nutes right now. (i was gonna wait a few weeks). The temperature stays between 76-80 degrees. (depending on the time of day) i'm just leaving the closest open during the day for ventilation. Any and all advice or criticism is welcome. :)

for cfls close is good. obviously far enough so the plant isn't touching the bulb.
1-2 inches away is generally acceptable.
For early life, CFL's aren't bad because they don't have a huge plant to cover, but when flowering kicks in you're going to want to surround the plant with CFL's.

Hahahaha, good luck man. I would take them a little further away as young seedlings dont need the lights as close.
Should work though, good luck.

Try and get a few 6400k bulbs they work alot better while vegging a plant, the darker red bulbs are great for flower.

ya the 6400k or even those 5500k. my buddy use a fish light thats 10,000k, he swears by it but im pretty sure hes just full of bat gauno. i think the spectrum would be a bit to high. and i didnt see a little fan in those pics, anyways happy farming

i have a question. how'd you hang the light cord to the top of your box or whatever? if you could, could you post a picture? thanks.
