CFL Jewelry Cabinet 1st Stealth Grow

Ok this is my 2nd attempt on starting a thread since I got no love or help in the Grow journal forums They must not like cfls grows or something.Anyways my babys are starting there 3rd wk and are doing awesome.I am Useing Fox farms ocean mix soil.Super thrive and Advanced nutrients Grow,Micro and Bloom.My temp and humidity are fine Ph is good and am useing 8 26watt daylight CFLs for veg I have 1 intake fan,one oscilating fan and a large 160mm exhaust fan.So far Ive fed the babys only 0.15 ML of Grow and Micro.And they seem too like it.I plan on flowering on wk 4 with 6 26watt soft white and 2x42watt soft white cfls and the 8 daylight cfls makeing it 16 cfls total for 3 plants.Is that overkill ??? I need all the advice I can get and would REALLY appreciate it from you more advanced CFL growers.Anything you see in my pics that I might need to change please let me know.I will take regular pics as I go.My cabinet is 3.5ft in height so I cant let them get too big.Heres a coiple pics of my supplies and my set up let me know what you guys think. looks like a good setup. with lighting it is hard to have overkill so more light = more bud. good luck.

I like your light setup. You got a pic of how that's put together (the sockets, I mean).

Yes, I'd say it looks like you're a bit too zealous on the nutes. I'd tone back a bit.

Is the light reflector on it made of metal? If so can you bend the sides down. You have a good setup but are losing alot of light that can be reflected back down on your plants. When using cfls, you have to be able to take advantage of all the light they put out. But it looks great sofar. Keep on posting your questions in here and you will get more answers. Once you step outside of this sub-forum you will get hated on for using cfls but they do work.

Great finally some good responces!! The set up is pretty easy actually.I bought 2 4 socket bathroom light fixtures at Home Depot they were on clearance for $9.00. I dismantled one completely and drilled it on top of the other fixture and wired them all toghether.One has a max watt of 60 watts the other has 100 watt max setting.The metal reflector is a Roofing aluminum strip i cut with regular sciccors but it is a bitch too bend trust me i tried.It wont fing bend.But now that you mention maybe if i cut some slits at the corners it might bend Ill work on that.On the nutes i used a tiny amount 0.15 ML I got the syringe at Target pharmacy. It starts at 0.1 0.2 0.3 0.4 0.5 0.6 0.7 0.8 0.9 and then 1 ML so im surprised it did burn a little.Mainly only on that one plant.BTW the syringes are great for nutes and there free just say there for ure cat.Ill try 0.1 ML next time.And if im correct I water 2 times then nutes on 3rd watering?On that im not too sure.I added the nutes on the 16th and only did water today.I am useing the moisture meter for my watering.Any advice on the nute schedule would be great.I checked out the ADV.NUT. website calculator and they want nutes every watering and wanted me too start at 0.86 ML with 1 quart of water. so I calculated 0.15ML to 3 cups of water since theres 4 cups of water in a quart.I water my plants with only 1 cup of water at the moment.Once again thanks for the advice

OK CFL masters I need some help here. I plan on starting too flower tomorrow night.Should I go to 18/6 for a week then go 12/12 ?Ive had them 24/0 so far.Or just go 12/12 right off the bat? Second they are in 8 inch pot and will stay in there for the whole grow.I have been watering then every other day with the moisture meter.I give them 1 cup each.Should I give them more than 1 cup so i wont water so much or keep doing what im doing?It does run out the bottom well and PH is fine.I just read that when they flower they require a bit more water.I will be useing 6x26 watt soft white CFLs and 8x26 watt daylight cfls at wk 1 of flowering.Then Ill add 2x42watter of soft white this payday friday.Thanks for any advice I can get.

on the watering you should not have a sceduale you should just water them when the top 2 inchs of the pot are bone dry. the main thing noob growers fuck up is watering to offen.mute should be every 1/2 or 2/3 times you water. when you see water come out the holes at the botem stop watering its full and your just leaching out the nutes at that point. ive tryed then light switch both ways and i find that going from 24/0 to 12/12 is fine and actualy makes them show sex much faster. also with cfl its good to go like 14/10 switchng to 12/12 for the last 2-3 weeks before harvest when you are using plain water and leaching out the nute taste.

yeah,i heard that changing the lights to 14/10 increases your yield by 10% in the last 3 to 4 weeks give it a shot.

Ok well this morning i added all my lights in for flowering which raised the temp to 84* degrees and man my ladies did not like it.They got all sad looking and wilted a bit.So i left 4 26watt daylight and 6 26watt softwhite so 10 cfls instead of the 16 i was planning on.Maybe i over killed it by going to 16 cfls from 8?The temp was 76@ b4 i added all the lights.I even added an extra fan.Well there sleeping right now and temps at 71 Ill take some pics in the morning.I think they will recover fine.I hope.

Rise and shine ladies.Well I let the ladies get some nice sleep last night and this morning they looked perky.I gave them a drink and a shot of C02.I took some of the lights down since they seemed to not like all 16 CFLs. I will add more lights as they grow.Im probably gonna pick up another fan since the spare one I have is too strong for there current size.Well as always I appreciate any comments,advice or suggestion I can get.Heres some morning pics of my girls.

1. Hey there Wolfenluke, you gona be using that jewelery box for ever ? cuz i had to rebuild my one cuz of the pot size... i got a pot thats 2 foot tall... plant thats 1 foot tall makes 3 foot... do u have that space ? 3 foot ?

for europeans its more like 73 cm of space i need + 10 cm for lights... so 83 cm's...

I havnt red all your posts, but tell me, did u think of this ? Do u have another closet to grow in....

For this 1st experimenatl grow I was hopeing to finish it in that cabinet.But its now starting to smell too good and its slowly oozeing out i have to work on that asap.I will be doing some major upgrading soon.I plan on buying the HOMEBOX and a real nice set up.Ill have about 500.00 us cash to work with.Im defitnatly gonna get some odor control man these smell yummy.

Alright guys i need ure help.It still might be too early for me too tell but some of you with more experience might be able to tell.Im almost pretty sure ones a girl but the other 2 are looking like males.Heres some pics for you to check out.They are sure starting to drink alot more water.I check with my moisture meter and they want a drink every other day.So if its not too early too tell what do you guys think?
