cfl hps grow

Wassup people;
got a quick question...has anyone tried the hps outdoor lights from home depot? I just need to know if they are in the right spectrum for plant growth since they are designed for outdoor lighting and not plant growth. thanx for all ur input in advance.

Isn't there a thread on here somewhere on how to rewire the ballast of those things so they are not light or motion activated?

yes there is but really all you have to do is put a piece of tape over the photo-sensor and voila dude.
