CFL?How many lumens?what watt cfl?

I have to admit ,that i have jumped the on the "CFL" bandwagon.I currently have a 400w MH & 5 t5s 2 footers 3 blue 2 red.Unfortuntely,my electric bill has been through the roof the last couple of months & I need to stop using my "MH"so says my wife.I know that w/all my lights on i have ruffly 5300 lumens psf,& a total of @52,000 lumens total.W/O my MH i'm down to @11.200 lumens total.I know that it isnt enough lumens=1,244lumens psf.How many cfls & at what watt do you think would benifit my garden the best,and also where do i get some of those funky cfl light fixtures that i see on some of RIU threads.I would really like to get my lumen output to at least 3,000 lumes psf,if i can w/cfls.Any & all input will help.My grow area is 3x3x8.......................................Thank-you

I grow with Envirolghts, I'd use them they go upto 250 watts. Because they are cooler than HIDs you can put them very close to your plants, increasing efficency. I would just ebay everything, seems to be the cheapest way.

i use 250w envirolites too, there the way to go mate

I believe the lumens per watt for cfls are 60 lumens per watt so get your bulbs together and crunch some numbers

CFLs are using more watts per lumen then HIDs.
To save money you are gonna have to cut size of your grow
