CFl grow/perlite, bone meal question

I have one plant in a 10" pot, which is around 2.5 gallons and heard that a 1/3 mixture of soil and perlite would be good. I also have bone meal, which I heard was for flowering. My plant is only about 2.5 feet and I have it budding early, and was curious how much bone meal I should put into it?

I also learned that you can bend you plants or something to make them bud wider and shorter. Kind of like SOG maby?
