CFL grow Nirvana AK48

Why not buy a 150W or 250W HID?, you will save over 100W of electricity with the smaller, it would produce over 5 time the amount of light, with a few fans spinning and the area above the grow room i doubt heat would be an issue.

maybe because i wanted to do a cfl grow ????????????????????????????????????

i might decide to go HPS in the future but i doubt it because im just doing this for a bit of fun, i only smoke the occasional joint.

and with this being up in the loft i dont have to worry about a fire happening. i think if i had a HPS up there i would be worried i will burn the house down

Plus all the extra pricing of hid lights..cfls are self ballasted cheap and you get get them at any local cvs or where ever....looking good dude keep up the good work

ok it might all be a disaster i think maybe 3 are males out of the 4 ak48's :wall:

i have 6 more ak48 seeds and 20 other random ones, i think i might germinate the other 6 ak48's asap
 
i just started germinating the other 6 ak48 seeds plus another 10 bagseed

im thinking the 1 bagseed is female and im really praying the last ak is female

will post more pics tomorrow, the lights are out now
 
right i think i might be panicking a bit to soon, these balls are tiny and i just done some searching google and even females get these but hairs then come out of them,

the seeds were in paper towels for about 10 mins and i just dried them all of and abandoned the germination of them all, is that ok???

i will let you all know tomorrow
 
Hi tamjam,

Hope your head is OK this morning! :-) I could sense your frustration there mate but hold fire until you can see clearly the sex of your plants. Look closely, a 'segmented pupkin' on a tiny stem is a male, best way I can describe it. Otherwise give them a couple more days because its easy to be confused initially. No panic this early if they are males, wait until you are 100% sure just in case. Not much you can do with males, best to ditch them and move on, its hard but you need to do it.

I mentioned picknmix seeds in my PM, here that link (below). For small grows feminised seeds do make sense and for the price of a regular packet of Nirvana seeds you could select 2 or 3 different feminised strains to try :-) Have a browse and see what you think for the future? They are a very reliable company in my experience.

Can you get some more close ups for us to look at? or grab a magnifying glass, it will help a lot.

hello again MS thanks my head is fine today lol heres some pics, this plant and another yesterday had 1 little ball, today this plant has several but the other is still the same,

i think i am 100% sure this is a male, and i will get pics of the others shortly

just what i thought!! they were regular seeds, i still have 6 more and 20 more bagseed, the 1 little bag seed plant i think is deffo female.

lots of close ups to come!!!

Yea, sorry about that, my pics are all gone for the first half of the journal. From page 45 and up I have pictures. Sorry, I had to change the account. Yours look good brother.

cool i will take another look.

i now have the mylar in place, and as for the male plant i couldnt bring myself to hurt him after caring for him for over a month.

so i have planted him outside in the back garden!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
