I have three plants indica going under cfl in coco/ff soil mix in a closet. I was gonna try scrog but im not sure if I can do 3 plants under one screen im new to this.

I have been vegging for a month atleast but I am still unsure when to add the screen and do I have to top the plant before adding the screen??

I have 370w of cfl and the strains one is some kind of outdoor cheese from seed and the other 2 are from a major seed bank big budddha cheese and a 707 headband.

I haven't topped any of them yet here are some pics.

The smaller looking plant is the outdoor cheese from bagseed

I have 4 plants under a screen its three and a half foot wide by two and a half foot deep You will need to top before you put the screen above it or else it'll just grow straight up through it the point of the screen is to be able to branch out sideways instead of straight up It's a little difficult to water mine But I think it'll be worth it in the end

I've never scrogged, but I'm going to be doing a vertical mini scrog and don't plan to top my plants at all. Just going to try LST and bring my lower branches out through the bottom. If you're growing in a small space, 3 topped plants may get pretty crowded especially if you've vegged that long.

Keep in mind I know nothing, hopefully some more smarter people will chime in soon.

ya bamboo I think your right. a guy told me not to top on scrog I don't need to im doing indica cheese not required.

superloud it don't matter if you top or super crop or whatever your training the branches you control if the plant goes straight up.

if I put the screen above em no problem you just grab the top once it comes threw the screen and bend it threw the screens. next hole.

The whole point of the scrog is to fill it up 70% if you do too many plants and top you might not have enough room to move around they are gonna bush out and fill your room and leave you with no head room.

So I havent topped any of them

Well I mostly just meant you can't just let them grow straight through the screen that defeats the purpose you have to use some form of training

I didn't top my one-plant scrog (2'x2'). In fact, the top of the branches have bigger flowers than the actual top of the plant right now. Guess it just depends on where the lights are though.

Will scrog two clones next grow, just to have a shorter veg, and fill the screen more. Peace!

nice ya I figure the lower branches will still catch up with the screen with out cutting the top off so ya .

an as far as vegging im not so sure how short you want it but it takes time to fill the screen 2 month veg 2 month bud wouldent rush it. anyways happy growin

ok so heres an update im not sure what to do now the plants are still in veg 6 weeks into it and i am wondering should i be cutting the lower growth off yet anything under the screen???

because i seem to have a couple side shoots under the screen that are wanting to grow threw it so im not sure if i should be getting rid of that . Also on a couple branches i see new shoots coming out that are like being blocked by a big fan leave should i be getting rid of those to expose the shoots.

of course where only concerned with growth above the screen right??

the one on the very right I topped it by accident but I did so because it was getting taller then the others

Start bending and weaving your shoots under the net to start filling it in. Your plant isn't just going to grow perfectly into the net, you need to train it where you want it to go for a full canopy.

Edit: As for the fan leaves, just tuck them under the screen. After your net is filled in, you can go about trimming up underneath the screen. Your leaves are making energy for your plants to grow.

You don't want to go taking off many leaves while you are still vegging and filling your screen. Taking off too many will slow down your growth, and it takes long enough to fill a screen as it is.

Looks like it's about to get scroggy up in there! I guess all you do is keep moving the tallest colas further and further away, thus keeping the canopy even and allowing the closer spaces to accept the shorter, newer colas?

It looks so easy on other people's grows, but when I start trying to do it, it seems complicated. I'm curious to see how this plays out. Keep us posted. Plants look healthy btw!
