got a "grand wardrobe box" from uhaul for $12. cut a door in it, cut out two holes for 120mm dc computer fans, sprayed the inside with flat white spraypaint, rigged up the fans to 12v ac to dc adapters, and at first only 4 CFLs about 2000 lumens per CFL. rigged lights to a power strip using plug sockets and Y sockets. then suspended the lights to a metal bar that comes with the box from uhaul because the box is for hanging clothes so it comes with that bar, its like a mini closet. after that was all set up i rigged a box to an air duct that comes into my room and used some ducting get the ac to my grow box. so with my ghetto ac and two 12v 120mm fans the temps stay a little warmer than room temp. pics soon cant upload now for some reason.

Be careful with your humidity. Cardboard is a very inviting medium for mold and fungus to grow upon.

I have a space in my attic that is perfect for growing, and was debating whether or not i could use cardboard boxes. I figured that it would be a fire hazard. But let me know how it works out. What are your temps and how many plants do you think you could fit in there?

:peace:

heres the sprouts at 9/27

seems like it should do as long as the lights r off at night so the light doesnt leak in

It looks pretty cool... nice design. I'm curious to see how it works out for you, so keep us updated :-D

no its not hot at all, its almost room temp inside the box. plus i have my AC vented into the box blowing down on the lights. the plants look very happy except they use up nutes quick cause of the small pots. heres a pic of them today 10/28 lookin good.
