Ok I have a few seedlings in some cups,and yes,a noodle soup container..anyways there is 3 cfls over them..one is 30W,the rest are 23W....is this enough light for the seedlings to grow?...everything is in my closet,in a normal cooler...things get kinda hot,considering I live in hot ass FL,and no AC!!!

who bought the mini dutch???

those will be good for seedlings, but your gonna wanna get some better bulbs once theyre bigger. as for heat, sticlk a fan in there CFLs shouldent get too hot

That should be sufficient for now. You'll need to get some exhaust for sure though. I understand your pain though i live in FL too. If i don't have the AC on mine would be in the 90's

yes those will work for now. are you keeping them under 24/7 light?

I have a full out flowering room. Which cost me about $3K, but I still just use CFLs and a T-5 in my veg room. get ventilation in there and they will do great.

Allright,yes theyr in there under 24/7 lighting..before I was taking them out and letting them veg under the sun,and then just bring inside when the sunsets...should I keep doing this,or wait till theyr a little bigger??The sun might burn em'???

And,the temps get kinda hot in there man...also,they were left outside for a day or 2...does this matter?Will the dark period stress theyr light cycle??

man,this is important to me!will the dark cycle affect the plants??it was only 1 0r 2 days..but now theyr in 24/7 light..

crazyoutlaw 1 or 2 days with a bad light cycle wont fuck it up, i did it to my plants and they were ok

Allright man,youve been really helpful..I swear theres nothing like a postive word of encouragment for new growers like myself...so do you guys agree that this is enough light for the plants until they get about 5 inches tall??Also,should I line the inside with aluminum foil??I know its bad,but is it better than the white coating of the cooler??So should I line with foil?....

Also,how close should the lights be to the seedlings?is my setup good?or is there anything I can do 2 better it??

Just say no to the foil!!!!! the white is fine. here are a picture or two of my CFL vegg grow. I never use anything more then CFLS and maybe a single t-5 light which is just like a cfl.

Also is a picture of the plants in my flowering room.

damn thats the exact same light sockets I have..you bought em at Home Depot right?...anyways,nice setup..how many watts are your cfls...should I stick with 24w daylight CFLs..or 30W "BRILLIANT WHITE"cfls??...theyr almost the same shit,except the 30W is more expensive...so am I good buying only 24W CFL's??

my CFLs are the 40 watt soft white.

change the orientation of the light bulbs so that the coils are facing the plants. there is not as much light coming from the end cap.

What if the light bulb is directly above the plants?Wihtout any reflectores,just hanging there?Should I also tilt the bulbs if possible??
